I think the fact that the game was in Florida had a lot to do with the split. Shanahan had a lot of problems in Miami with players getting fatigued and dehydrated from the heat and humidity. I remember reading after the game that the healthy split was designed to keep Anderson fresh. Anderson still wound up with 26 touches, too, so it's not like he was adversely affected by Bell getting carries.
I suppose we'll see how this continues to play out, but I'm satisfied with any week where my workhorse back gets 25+ touches, regardless of how many his backup gets.
I hear ya, but I am just saying that it could still turn out to be RBBC, probably not 50-50, but still a good chunk. Anderson and Priest Holmes, while not the same, have a few things in common. They are over 30, have missed significant time the past couple years and have younger viable options at RB. While MA may do fine, I was mainly replying that anyone that mentions RBBC in Denver gets flamed up the wazoo, even though it sure makes sense to me based on the current situation. MA got 26 touches and Bell got 16 and that just reminds me of the end of last year when Bell averaged 15 touches a game even though Droughns was the starter.Edit to Add: Bell averaged 14 touches a game over the last 6 games and 15 touches a game over the last 5 games. He only got 7 touches in his first action after missing 5 games, but that was the 6th game.
