TE Kyle Pitts, ATL (1 Viewer)

I'm curious for now both sides of the coin for Pitts - What is his value that someone would trade for and what would his shareholders currently accept?

Feels like he might be beyond that "just hold because you'll get peanuts" is largely headed to "peanuts? you'll actually give me peanuts? Done deal!" If so, just curious on both fronts. Maybe I'm a dumb truther that still has some belief, but if he's going for peanuts, that would be in my price range for sure.
I moved him for Charbonnet a few months ago and was absolutely thrilled with that return. And it’s a TE Premium league.

Maybe he’ll be more inspired this year? I get that Greg watched his tape from last year and concluded that, but this is a new year with a new passing game coordinator, and Pitts is still just 24. He’s a great athlete & it feels like it’s a bit early to bury the guy.

My $.02

That said, there’s a dude in my league who wants him & I could probably get Otton + a 2026 3rd for Pitts. It’s tempting, but I’ll probably hold.
That trade would be a hard pass to me in part because I don't have a high opinion of Otton and that's really less on him as much as his role in the offense.

The one thing I'd add on him being "uninspired" and maybe not being that into football is that a contract year might be the inspiration he needs.

Bottom line I'd recommend him as a hold unless someone was offering something unusually strong for him in light of it being in a contract year, and possibility of a trade to a team that picks up his value and failing all that where he lands in FA adding to his value. His value is just so low right now I'd rather take those shots on it picking up then waiving the white flag on the believe it will stay this low or get lower.

Interesting. I have a lot of tweener TE shares where I’d look at Pitts as a dart throw of “become what we thought” or “just fail” and it still might be better than the purgatory of a few of these guys like Chig or Kmet, etc. so was just curious how his owners felt to consider tossing something out there at the chance to strike gold/fool’s gold

I think we'll know when he's done. Atlanta will add some TE that we consider. I don't see it now. I just expect the same stats as always.

He stopped time if he's 24 😁
Y’all forget how young Pitts was when he was drafted.

I have him as a hold and agree about Otton. He was only productive when Evans and/or Godwin were out, and he was a better target option than the equipment manager. I see his big streak last year as fool’s gold, though he did help me to win a BB league.

I’d still rather bet on Pitts than Chig or Kmet. I roster Knet in a TEP league & while I think he could be better than people think this year, Pitts still has significantly more upside. I agree that the FF community’s hatred of him brings potential opportunity.

Scary: Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr has made it a priority to establish a high-level chemistry with TE Kyle Pitts, per @DanGrazianoESPN

“Kyle Pitts and Michael Penix Jr. are golf buddies, and Penix Jr. is working on establishing a high-level chemistry with Pitts in the hopes that he can fulfill his immense potential.”

Pitts breakout season loading 🔥👀

I have him in dynasty, but I went out and bought Kraft in the offseason so I don't have to rely on him. I won't touch him in redraft though, there are easily a dozen others I'll take first
I just avoided him in both dynasty start-ups, but in a 16-team TEP I traded a 2027 2nd for him. Jonnu’s trade forced my hand and for the upside that’s a pretty reasonable price.

On a bad day for the Titans in joint practice, when the Falcons were clearly way better, Pitts was not.

Titans DC insists on pressing and they like to. He couldn't handle it.

Brownlee said "he comes right to you."

Falcons radio with Titans reporter as guest, host says that's kind of the rub on him. Either run away from the defense like a WR or man up like a TE. Ya can't try and do both.
We saw the same in individuals
Oh yeah, for years now

As I'm typing-
"Falcons QBs don't get enough credit for how hard it is to get the ball to Pitts. I don't think people see that. Yes he only needs a little room but it's always a difficult throw."

Hmm, if I didn’t own him already, I would send an offer and see whats up on him.

7for8 no TD, but plenty of targets and chemistry. If he got one TD it would be pretty hard to get.

On the other hand, could sell and profit off the +matchup.

Vikings up next, gonna be watching Chi TEs if they have success than why not Pitts?

Penix elevates him could be real.

this is the week 1 i hoped for... not a monster performance, because then Id fear it was 1 and done.

just solid. no frills. he's being targetted by his offseason buddy.

praying THIS is finally the year

I would be so happy to see him as a steady, effective, involved part of a high functioning offense.

Lowered expectations on full display.

I thought he looked healthy. He looked like a guy who is an athletic marvel. That was the most positive thing for me, because he hasn't looked fast in a while. Whether that means he's gonna be a top-10 TE or not, I don't know, but that needed to happen if he is.

PFF also graded him as the best offensive player for Falcons in week 1. I know things move fast in the NFL, but on the Penix rushing TD, Pitts was wide open in front of him. Pitts made a nice move to get open.

Stafford to Kupp (breakfast buddies) ---> Penix to Pitts (golfing buddies)? That is hyperbole btw.

Just wondering if the looks he got in week 1 was due to Mooney being out.
It opened up some targets, I’m sure. But they’d been telegraphing higher usage for Pitts all offseason.

The only bump in the hype road was when they reportedly dangled him for trade offers like 3 weeks ago? I’m not sure how credible those rumors were tbh.
