Todd Heap was added to the injury report as questionable with a thigh injury after missing Ravens practice Thursday.

Mid-week adds to the injury report are never a good thing and Heap has dealt with minor lower-body ailments all year. In a nice matchup with the Bengals this week, make sure Heap practices Friday before using him.

A few comments ...

a) Here is a corrobarating link from the Raven's site. Heap is listed as questionable ...

b) Heap has regularly missed team practices during the week his whole career. It seem as though he is regularly dinged up. It's not clear whether it is necessary or precautionary that he does not participate in these practices ... It's also not clear whether Billick labels him this way to strictly comply with the NFL or to throw the other team off. The end result is that he ALWAYS plays.

c) This is not the first time this season that he has missed practice and then been listed as questionable for a reported thigh injury.

d) Certainly you don't want to be cavalier and ignore the various warnings that you are given, and you should keep an eye on this, but I would not treat this any different than any other week.

(KFFL) Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap (thigh) is dealing with a thigh injury that has prevented him from playing at full strength the past few games. He is expected to start the Week 9 game.

This guy lives on the injury report! Not just this year, but the years before too. Who knows, he probably has a hang nail or a paper cut.
