TE Travis Kelce, KC (3 Viewers)

If you actually believe this---that his relationship with her hurts the team, turn off your phone, go outside, and get some air.
His relationship isn't hurting him, but it's not helping him.. Like on his bye week, he flew to SA to see her..

Him being more banged up, and the KC not having any decent WR are more to blame, but Swift def isn't helping him right now. A lot of time to go see her, talk about getting a Flu Shot.

If it wasn't her he'd be doing something else non football related. What's the difference?
Also, the relationship isn't hurting him, but also not helping him???? WTF? Who cares then

Hoping this is a get right game for Kelce and KC in general.

His F bomb interview a good sign. Hope he told T. Swift to scram.

Also, J. Chase pouring gasoline on the fire with some trash talk yesterday.

Guy is way overdue. Hasn't had a TD since October. Get it together Mahommes.

I missed badly on Kelce, hopes he comes back next year and makes things right.
I don’t think he’s coming back. Just a feeling.

He looks done to me.
I could see it. He is such a big dude, like Gronk, and it feels like once it starts to go, it goes fast. Gronk retired for good at 32 and Kelce is 34 now. Kelce has been amazingly durable over the years considering his size, and I feel like he has toughed it out this year by coming back too soon from the ankle injury, but I can see him not wanting to do it anymore after this season, especially if has other life plans going forward.

Will the Chiefs have room under the cap to go after big name WRs? I suspect someone like Tee Higgins will be asking for big money.

Calvin Ridley maybe? Looked explosive when they actually threw him the ball. Mahomes throwing to Ridley and Rice would be lethal. Ridley should be fairly cheap in comparison to Higgins as well.

He has 1 more season in him. Ain’t going out like this.
Maybe not, but someone else can draft him where he'll likely go in redraft.
First year ever drafting Kelce. First rounder. Was feeling good for about half the year, then he was at least consistent, then completely fell off the cliff.

Survived his performance yesterday thank fully.

Will not be drafting him next year. All eyes on Laporta and McBride.

Gonna be hard to pull the trigger on this dude next year.

The assumption I’d heard much of the preseason was “with the dearth of WR talent, Kelce’s gonna get a ton of targets!”

Instead, he really fell off. Some of it was Mahomes, some the OL, most was no viable receiver to take pressure off of Kelce. But in part. Kelce just hasn’t looked dominant this year.

He’s looked like he’s lost a step. Uncharacteristic drops, looks a bit sluggish on his routes, not winning contested catches as we’ve been used to seeing.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs as a whole can shake off this funk. A strong playoff run might could push Kelce to a higher pick than I’m interested in spending.

If not, 2024 drafts might be the 1st chance at. Kelce “discount” where he falls out the 1st round.

Pretty spot on. Will be 35 years old and I can’t see people drafting him before round 5 next year. So many other TEs I would rather have at this point.

I’m all in on him next year in the 4th, bad knee this year
I think he’s gone before the 4th.
Yeah probably. Some people get stuck on the past and name recognition.
Yep

Some people blame his outside activities (some would say distractions) on his poor 2nd half of season. From the games I watched, his physical talent took a huge drop this year. Even when he was doing well in the beginning of the season, you could tell he wasn’t as fast and quick as usual. A lot of the big plays were ones he was just wide open on. A couple big gains would have been easy house calls even last year.

35 next season. Buyer beware.

I think Higgins will get the franchise tag. My guess for KC is either Ridley or Evans.

Marquis Brown or Tyler Boyd might be some other possibilities. I’m assuming that Pittman will get resigned by the Colts.

I’m thinking Mark Andrews injury discount will be the better value.
Tough call. The Ravens offense seemed to open up after andrews injury. I’m going to avoid both.
I think the ravens offense was gradually opening up all season, and then Andrews got hurt.

Correlation isn’t causation - the timing of his injury might make that conclusion seem logical, but IMO Andrews was on his way to being a beneficiary of the new scheme as much as Likely has since become.

I don’t buy the implication that the Ravens got better *because* Andrews got hurt.

Andrews is going to be a steal next year.

Definitely feels like we’re seeing the fall in the 2nd half of the season.

If you look at his overall numbers, they aren’t that bad. He’ll finish as TE2.

But my goodness the last few weeks have been so bad. He isn’t the playmaker we’re used to. He’ll be 35 next season. There’s a point where he becomes a value pick, but I worry his name value keeps his ADP too high for my taste.

Great post.

Kelce regressing.
Hockenson - torn acl
Mark Andrews - injured

Trey McBride might be #1 TE in 2024!
Him or LaPorta. Also love the talent of Kincaid but if Knox is still there, that limits his ceiling.
Agree on Kincaid although with Diggs possibly having peaked (not unlike Kelce), I think Kincaid’s role will expand considerably irrespective of Knox.

I agree - plus Knox is a TE. Kinkaid is more like a gigantic WR. Much more of an offensive weapon.
