TE Tucker Kraft, GB (3 Viewers)

Dataroma
On a more analytical note, the Tucker Kraft boom season in 2025 always felt like a very good bet to make.

He might be the best YAC threat at the tight end position right now, leading the entire NFL in both YAC/reception (9.38) and YAC above expected/reception (3.1) in 2024. Tight ends who can create YAC like this tend to earn more frequent opportunities.

He also had a clear opportunity to be a top 2 target in the Packers offense, with middling target competition around him. Through 2 games, that has come to fruition, with a team-leading 11 targets.

And on top of the opportunity, we expected this Packers offense to be ~top 10, if not better. The potential TD equity was strong, which is another key for the TE position in fantasy.

As the TE11 in redraft ADP, he was always a great upside bet. The YAC monster who is attached to a borderline elite offense, and has a strong chance to be a top 2 target in his offense? You take shots on that profile all day at TE11.

I've got him in two dynasty leagues and trying to trade for him in a 3rd. Had an offer sitting out all week and I rescinded it right before the game last night. Sent it back out today but now it feels like an underpay :(

I know this is the Tucker Kraft thread, but I seem to remember a couple guys debating between starting Kraft or Dallas Goedert this week. FYI in case you didn't start Kraft - Goedert (knee) isn't practicing Friday, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.

Hopefully you have time to address between now and Sunday, if necessary.

6/124/TD on MNF, hip hip hooray! Have him across several leagues, loved where you could get him in Redrafts, not likely to see him land that late again

-That said...did anyone look at the rest of the team stats, like at WR?
Wicks had 4/44, Doubs a short TD grab and the rookie WR is not involved in the offense right now
Malik Heath 37 yds?

In redraft this is an excellent sell high moment but I understand why others will keep him all year and hope he repeats some of this

There are maybe 3 TEs I would “sell high” for.

A lot of redraft people probably got him as their #2 TE, or drafted Warren or Fannin as their #2 and want to gamble with trading Kraft away to some other TE needy team. That might be a good idea if you have a hole at WR or RB that Kraft can help you fill. Better aim high though. Kraft’s role in this offense looks very secure as the de facto top receiving option.

Traded him for Pearsall. May have sold too soon but I had TE depth. Figured I'd cash in in case GB committee is real and he only gets 3 catches this week.
You are gonna have the Blue Box Blues looking back on that one later this year.
Maybe but it's redraft. Won't care in a year
I’m a Kraft slappy, so take whatever I say with some salt, and pepper.

I think he finishes as a top 2-3 TE this year.

I just mean you’ll have regrets later this year. According to my humble opinion.

But, that’s why they play the games.

Unless the other TE's are Bowers or McBride, you should have traded one of them and kept Kraft.
Not a TE premium league. So the returns even for the big names is only so much. Medium guys only fetch waiver replacement level talent.

Is there a backup worth rostering here for those in the TE wasteland?

If anything, my want to block my opponent who has Kraft.
Musgrave for sure. I’m actually still a pretty big fan of his. I think he could be an easy top-10 guy with no Kraft.
Musgrave is in a great spot. He was a second round pick drafted to do exactly what kraft is doing before injuries limited him.

Got my finger on the add button. Could use him as a Kittle replacement in one league and to block my opponent in another.

Going to keep hitting refresh on Musgrave's projections.

I dropped Boutte in redraft to clear a bench slot for Musgrave. Really didn’t like doing that, but the WW TE wasteland is just too bleak to take chances while Kraft is out.

Aren’t we getting a bit ahead of ourselves? Who says how badly the knee is injured or that he’ll miss Sunday’s game? I haven’t found any reports that do, and Kraft is one tough SOB

Just a tweak. Status in doubt this week, will see how he fills tomorrow.

I’d say the absolute worst case scenario is he missed the next 2 games and returned after the bye in week 6. But again could play this week.

“Tucker Kraft only "tweaked" his knee and could still play Sunday against the Browns, sources tell me and @DMRussini. Nothing definitive about Sunday in Cleveland, as how Kraft feels tomorrow will be important.”

He could

But I’d bet against it

Two winnable games and a bye

I base my thoughts mainly how they’ve managed prior injuries

Damn! I have him, and Kincaid with no option to pick up anyone before sundays games.
I'm in a similar situation in one league. I have Kraft, Goedert and Kincaid. I don't want to wait until Sunday and find out both my TEs are out. I'm a pretty big favorite so I'm taking the conservative route and starting Kincaid.

Worth noting that he just surpassed LaPorta as the dynasty TE #4 on KTC. :bored:

Hopefully, he's good. His situation is too good to be giving away games to injury right now.

Also, why is that my next best option unfailingly has a Thursday night game when these mid-week injury Qs surface?

He’s got the dog in him. Like I’ve said before in this thread - baby kittle.

Starting him unless the news continues to be bad. Njoku is my pivot though, I understand y’all might not have an easy sub.

(Rotowire) Kraft is believed to have only suffered a minor left knee tweak at Thursday's practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis: Kraft sustained a left knee injury at practice Thursday but further evaluations didn't reveal a serious issue, a major relief for Green Bay's offense. Fantasy managers will now need to monitor the standout tight end's participation level at Friday's practice closely, however, with his status for Sunday's road game against the Browns potentially uncertain. Through two regular-season games, Kraft leads all Packers pass-catchers in terms of receptions (eight), targets (11), receiving yards (140) and touchdowns (two).
