TE Tucker Kraft, GB (5 Viewers)

Matt Schneidman
No filming rehabbing players, but saw Tucker Kraft doing the following with a sleeve on his right leg:

• Resistance band around legs
• Pulling weighted sled by strap around waist
• High knees jogging
• Lateral chopping of feet, slides
• Suck it crotch chop handshake with Bo Melton

Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT
I wasn’t sure if Tucker Kraft would be ok, but the “Suck it crotch chop handshake” really sealed the deal.

@Faust reporting on a Suck It Crotch Chop is a new high for me in my 20 year tenure in the Shark Pool.

yeah... see you in November Tuck
Huh? He sounds a lot more likely to play this week, than he does to go on IR.

ETA: Not that either is the most likely scenario.
The IR talk is just mystifying for a downplayed injury

They have a week 5 bye, he's not playing til Week 6 at the earliest.

IR would be 4 games, plus a bye added in, takes us to Week 8/9 depending on when they IR him (if they do)

The fact its even introduced conceptually tells me the most conservative organization with injuries has it in play to be used.

Week 9 is the first week of November.

Yeah, that feels like a lot of ifs and maybes for a guy who is questionable this week, and the HC has said he doesn't need to practice to play. I think the IR talk is just them saying its nothing serious, not them saying its an option we are considering. If it were, he wouldn't be a GTD, he'd be out, or at least doubtful.

Its not the same thing, but this is feeling in a similar ballpark to CMC in week 1. I'd be completely shocked if he went on IR. I could see the scenario of possibly sitting through the bye week, but even that feels like its not what they are saying.

If I'm guessing, I'd say 40% chance he's out through the bye. 40% chance he's back next week, 30% chance he plays Sunday.

I would.love if you’re right., I’d do cartwheels to be wrong

If I’m being caustic, it’s mainly to say.. be prepared for the worst

It’s going to be a real bummer for my teams with Kraft and Warren if I have to pick up a TE to play this week

Man, needless IR speculation does zero good for anyone without solid information backing it up.

Now for all we know, the Packers could still be practicing some gamesmanship here... Kraft may not play a full complement of snaps, could be a decoy, whatever. But the needless speculation of how many weeks he'd be out or the likelihood he'd go on the IR (without reporting to confirm it) is so counter productive.

Best of luck to all fellow Kraft owners!

Gamesmanship did cross my mind

But

It’s the frickin browns

This is the NFL. Any given Sunday. You can't take the Browns lightly.

Browns probably have the best defense in the NFL.

As an aside to all of this, it was mentioned multiple times that the Packers are conservative with injuries, and I have 2 points about that:

1. If that's true, then they have absolutely no worries about Kraft.

2. Are they conservative about injuries? I'm struggling to think of an example besides Aaron Jones, and that could just be a Jones thing. This is a team who started Jayden Reed the last 2 weeks, with essentially a broken foot. It felt like Jordan Love was rushed back last season too.

I'm treating Tucker Kraft as a top-5 (maybe even top-3) TE this week.

I'm gonna have to shuffle my cards back around now, Top 3-5 you say?
Vs the Browns on the road?
Hope you're right (y)

Tucker Kraft is right. Give him the ball every damn drive. Dude is real good.
He's vastly underused. People love to make the comp, but it really is Kittle-esq. Not that I'm anywhere near ready to call him Kittle (the best TE in the NFL in my opinion) but these 4-5 target games shouldn't be happening, and he should be having weeks where he gets closer to 10.

It seems like Lafluer doesn't want a player to be the target monster. He seems to want interchangeable WR's as deep threats, Doubs as the possible possesion receiver/contested catch guy. Kraft really should be getting more targets but it's like he knows the defense knows it as well and is doing something else. Perhaps doing too much to be one step ahead of the defense. Where as Kittle is used as, I know my guy is better than your guy now try to stop me.

Those two TDs that were mere inches short will haunt me if I lose my week, but I’m still overjoyed about getting a TE monster in the 10th round of my redraft. Steal of the draft.

As others have said, we as a fantasy community may have gotten a bit too excited from the first few weeks about Kraft’s target share. There are several capable pass catchers and the scheme does not seem to be designed to focus on any one individual.

I think he drew a lot of the number one coverage last night, going off memory I would think two of the Doubs TDs were in single coverage.

He also wrongly lost a TD imo, the footage was not conclusive enough to overturn
