He is the sideline reporter for the radio broadcast, I think.  Traditionally, he has been kind of a mouthpiece for the organization and/or gets fed information that teams or agents want out there, which may or may not be accurate.  he also did afternoon drive on philly sports talk for 15 (20?) years and was perhaps one of the earliest trolls in media.

anyway, it's all good, no beef you with for sure.

My memories of Eskin were that everyone hated his guts: athletes, other media people, etc. Even when he used to appear on WMMR's Morning Zoo, which was a mostly friendly venue, he came across as a #####.

Do you have to set your lineup tonight? Because there will almost certainly be more definitive info one way or another before Sunday.

I have Ertz on a lot of teams. I'm going with Burton. Wentz loves him too and he had a nice line when last Ertz was out. No way I trust a third string TE from Houston with a bum throwing to him. Something smells fishy with Anderson. Chasing points. My $.02

How late can they actually say he's cleared? Game time? Or more like tomorrow? I'm sure I can get any host of sleeper TEs right now, problem is it's a 3:25 CT kickoff.

Same boat as GoBirds above, dropped Burton at the #FakeNews.  Agreed about Anderson with Fuller back in the lineup.

If hes practicing have to think he gets cleared tomorrow and plays.....right? :unsure:

Cook, Witten, Rudolph are out there in my league. Also Anderson but doubt lightning strikes twice.

I'd run to pick up Rudolph. If Ertz is available I'd grab them both. Maybe grab Ertz and drop him just to lock him ;)

Mentioned this earlier: Concussions generally aren't GTDs. If he hasn't cleared the protocol by Sunday morning, he's not playing. Conversely, if he has, it means he's fine and you can start him without reservations. My guess is we'll know either way by tomorrow.

I like Sig a lot. But he also ranked Alex smith super high week after week over the last couple months and I'd keep scratching my head asking myself "what's he see that I don't see?"until finally he hit last week. None of us are Nostrodamos. Anderson may very well be a decent play but a lot of Intel points to the perfect storm of him being the beneficiary of the second most targets with Fedorowiyz, Ellington and Fuller out. 

At least with Burton you have a history of production when Ertz is out and Wentz has a good rapport with him as well. Also, who's more likely to throw 4 TDs? Wentz or Savage?

Grabbed Burton jic. Half figured no sooner would I finally add him and Ertz would get cleared. Guess that only happens when I am not trying to make it happen, eh :P . Anyways, done worrying about for a while.

I'm not even sure if you can trust any early morning reports. I'm afraid I need to see him on the active list at this point.

 
I think the lesson from Ertz being out in week 9 is that the Broncos are a great TE matchup. Burton & Celek went 5/80/1 in that game. The Jets play at 300 CT vs the Broncos.

Dropped Burton for RS-J when the #FakeNews came out.  I like your done worrying about for a while.   Gonna pick Burton back up because, unless someone grabs to block, I can always go back and get RS-J again.

 
If Ertz is active how concerned should we be that he was possibly not a big part of the gameplan this week due to limited practice and doubts about his availability?  I understand he's been great for most of the year but I've noticed weeks recently, somewhat injury related perhaps, where he disappears for long stretches. 2 of his last 3 games he's combined for one catch for 2 yards in the first half as an example and he's only topped 6 targets once since week 5 and he's only topped 34 yards twice since that time as well.  He's almost become TD dependent most weeks, not at all like he's been early this year on the years he's gotten on massive runs. It's actually a bit odd because I was huge on him this year and own him a ton but the one knock I always had on him was he was Witten like in that I just did not project him as a high TD guy, but a high target/high reception guy and in 1.5 PPR TE leagues that works for me.

If he's active, I'm starting him.

There's no way I'm leaving the potential for 10-100-2 on my bench.

The the thought of this makes me sick. Can't imagine how I'd feel if I benched him and he went off.

 
So no Saturday update? I know they're on the west coast but I would have thought there'd be some news by now

 
Someone help! About to go out boozing and if I don't out a waiver in now no way I remember later. Is there any scenario where he is in a limited role that hurts him and Burton where I should go Rudolph? Hate that all the other options are 1:00 kickoff so I couldn't wait out the Ertz drama. It's a must win, have to think they do everything they can to get him out there?

If he clears the protocol, he plays without limitation. The only move you need to make now is to pick up a backup option if you're worried you won't be able to get anyone tomorrow.

I'd have thought so as well but Doc Chao was tweeting about this yesterday and he had mentioned that Ertz  would need to get access to a NFL designated independent neuro on a Saturday in LA. Maybe this is what is taking longer than usual. Chao felt this was possible but not easy and he had asked if anyone recalled an NFL player getting cleared on a Saturday.

 
Shefter labeled him doubtful. Said they wanted to look at him first which I don’t get, either you get cleared or not.

 
The problem I have with Burton is that he's in a timeshare with Clerk, who can limit Burton's upside. Clerk + good TE defense like the Rams make me bench Burton this week and play Rudolph instead.

The Rams are in danger of being without key coverage ILB Alec Ogletree (elbow) on Sunday.  This should benefit Burton.
