A friend of mine is looking for team name ideas for her fantasy football team. Her name is Deandra. I know I have seen threads like this before, but I couldn't find any..........so, I throw it out to all of you. What are your favorite team names?

2007 - Darth Cheney

2008 - Darth Palin

2009 - Obi Wan Obama

..and associated avatars. Obama looks good with a blue lightsaber

 
Mine is "The Bottom Line". I stole it from my favorite sports talk show at the time. Since then, all of the owners always tell me how often they hear that phrase, whether it's referncing the actual bottom line of a debate or the "crawler" at the bottom of your TV.

And as the commish, my answer is always the bottom line;) It fits.

I've seen some pretty good ones out there.

The year I had Brady as my QB, my team name was Dotal Tomination.

Unfortunately, they did not dotally tominate.

If you get Reggie Bush on your team and you have large benches in your league, then take a flier on Vince Young in the last round. That way you can name your team Young Bush because, really, who doesn't like young bush?

 
Sometimes it is good to have a name that is personally identifiable.

I like classic rock albums...makes the logo easy: Electric Warriors, Band of Gypsys, Marquee Moons, Sticky Fingers...

I hear some people like to cleverly employ sexual innuendo in their team names.

i like to go with names that have good mascots.. something you could see in the real NFL as a good team logo on the side of a helmet.

though i truky hate the standard logos with the helmet and generic pic on the side. the team logo is not supposed to be the helmet, it is what you mascot is supposed to be(ish). anyways generalities work best and funnny names are good but i always prefer a good team name that can sort of be grown.

 
Just drafted Fitz in a Dynasty League so I am going with Puttin' on the Fitz.

I've already seen the "1 Man Wolfpack" name in 3 leagues I am in. I'm afraid it's the most played out name this season. It's like dressing up as the Joker last Halloween.

One guy in my league is "Off in the Bathroom" which elicits lines each year like, "Man I have to beat... this week!" It sure feels good to beat...!
