I should know this, but there are gaps in my notebook. Is Shady a Giants fan? It's not important but I was wondering if the Eli Apple theme was in harmony with his fan-ness. Not a Giants fan myself, but damn if I won't be wishing Eli Apple (EA sports?) NFL success. Another beer or two and I might buy a jersey.

 
Amazed at how this little internet community comes together in real times of need.  Grateful to be a small part of it.

All I know is we better not see anymore "the FFA is going downhill" type threads.  This thread is proof that the FFA is stronger than ever.

He's a Niners fan, but yeah I think we'll all have a special place in our hearts for Eli Apple in the future. And Apple's mom seems like the kind of person who would appreciate a thread like this

Was away from a computer yesterday, but finally got a chance to donate. Don't know shady personally, but I can't even imagine what he and his family are going through. Thoughts and prayers to them.

Such a good group of people we have here. We may disagree about politics, teams, players, etc, but we're all still Football Guys!

 
This is truly amazing, you guys should be proud.  We all come here for a diversion from day-to-day life to talk football or politics or anything you can imagine.  Sometimes the realities of life hit and people come here to use this as a sounding board to talk about their own situations.  The support, well-wishes, thoughts and prayers and positive uplifting attitude that many bring to total strangers is truly amazing and should not go unnoticed.

What you guys have done and continue to do is just awesome - it restores my faith in mankind.

I haven't seen this much concerted action in the FFA since the jihad to that feminist fantasy football website a decade or so ago.

BTW for those who don't know, Shady is a huge Yankees fan- I bet he'd appreciate a symbolic $27 from those who can't give more.

 
what i believe is that most people have a lot of good inside them that is just waiting to get out but they dont know how but every once in a while a spark happens that is so obvious to everyone that they cannot help but pitch in and bam it lights up the sky and it is a hell of a thing to watch riley be that spark here
