Tell Me Why (1 Viewer)

I bought in last year with decent results but have concerns about this year.

1. Not sold on Stafford going from fragile to Rodgers/Brady caliber being automatic.

2. Scheffler! 28-300-3 based on the higher end of the fbg projections. He's blown past that virtually every year in his career and been considered a disappointment in doing so. I've got this strange feeling that Scheffler cuts into Pettigrew's production. This is something many other TEs aren't dealijng with.

3. CJ! Graham, Gronk, Gates, are liekly redzone choice one. If I'm the Lion's and it's 1st and 10 inside the red zone, I'm throwing it to CJ twice and possibly three times.

4. Is Pettigrew really an elite caliber athlete?

OK, Pettigrew seems like a huge value in most drafts. Convince me why I should take him over Lloyd, Decker, Wayne, and Torrey Smith.

Ain't nothing but a heart ache...

ain't nothing but mistake...

I never want to hear you say...

I want it that way.

For me as a guy who just bought about 2 hours ago (and had somewhat of a reservation, but at TE 8-9 could care less), Titus Young is the guy who balls are going to go to that went to Pettigrew in 2011...everything else is pretty much the same; Stafford is Stafford, the line is the line, and 300 days later, the RB situation is the same MASH unit it was in 2011. Young has been getting rave reviews, and at the same time, I have not heard negatives about Burleson. Basically, another good pass catcher has emerged (not that Young was terrible by any means in 2011). Remember, TE after the elites, works in razor thin margins. Keller, Davis (Fred and Vernon), and Celek all had more yards than Pettigrew last year. He was saved by his receptions (82) and outpaced each in standard PPR because of that...add in that many leagues have "bolstered" PPR scores for TEs (i.e. maybe 2PPR versus 1PPR for receivers) and he began to outpace a lot of the better receivers too. I am less worried about the yards, but if Young takes 15 receptions from him, he really becomes a low-end TE1 and you can find that with Celek/Keller about 4 rounds later...frankly, that is what I worry about.
