The US Open champ has to be Cilic right?
Maybe Del Potro?
She is Italian. (seems this is coming from Russia or Italy)Assuming they do mean only won the US Open (I can't tell if they mean two people or one with the doubles win), seems the list would be Roddick, Del Potro, Cilic, Stosur, Pennetta. Everyone else in the recent past has won at a second location.
Unless a name like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Williams, Sharapova comes out, not sure why there would be a cover up. None of the five listed as possible are so big their groups would feel the need to protect them from suspension or ban imo.She is Italian. Still interesting and potential huge story (that I'm sure will be covered up or stowed away)
i could see where it would be easier on the west coast... but either way the premium matches like Federer are so late anyway. At least for me, Aussie is second easiest to watch after US Open. French and Wimbledon start while sleeping and continue through the work day. Personally I can stream radio and bits of TV at work but not really sit and watch a match. And Wimbledon has that stupid no middle Sunday play rule taking a full day away on a day I could watch.
I'm on the West coast and get home from work at about 4 which is when the Aussie starts up for the day until the later rounds. This whole week I can come home to 7-8 hours of tennis before sleep.
I watched Stosur's match last night. Horrific case of the yips on her home court. The sadder part may have been the home crowd not attempting to inject some life to help her out. And how in the hell did she beat Serena in any match, let alone the 2011 US Open Finals? Crazy.NMbtw

Doesn't say it's a male necessarily. Female candidate would be Sam Stosur (also a Wimbledon doubles champ IIRC)
I love the Aussie Open. I love all the Majors actually. Stayed awake until 4am last night watching here on the West Coast as well and will do so for the next two weeks. At least for me, Aussie is second easiest to watch after US Open. Boom. Rafa getting pwned early never gets old. Never. We'll see what he has on clay.Great tourney already...suck it Rafa
Camila giorgio will hopefully improve a lot so we can see much more of her.YeaThis girl that Serena is playing...![]()
it's the aussie open that airs at bizarre times... it gets horrible ratings.Don't know how much this has been covered.. but outside of some data from betting histories, what are we talking about here?
It seems like ESPN is trying hard to make this a story without a single shred of evidence aside from a match 8 years ago where Davydenko retired?
The Djokovich story is the worst of all I heard on the radio... he makes millions and is playing for millions, but the story is about him being offered $200k to throw a match? What?
That's pretty much my same deal...At least for me, Aussie is second easiest to watch after US Open. French and Wimbledon start while sleeping and continue through the work day. Cramping is a mother****er to overcome. Not everybody can be Marcos Baghdatis when it hits.Guess if you are going to have a stinker of a match, today was the last time. Don't think he could win pulling that match off vs Kei, Fed, Murray, or Wawrinka.
Oof, woman Radwanska is playing is not at all attractive. Shocking she could be down a set to someone who seems so unfit. Barely looks like she can play the next point anytime she had the run back and forth the previous point.
She was huffing and puffing like a chain smoker early in the first set, I'm actually surprised she didn't get hit with them sooner, she seemed to be in horrible shape.BobbyLayne said:Cramping is a mother****er to overcome. She does look like she could handle herself in a bar fight.

I agree his ceiling is definitely higher than that.Murray is playing really well so far, his ceiling is certainly better than winning a set
And his 3rd. Uh ohGame on! Djokovic breaks Fed's first service game
Djokovic on fire.Joker hasn't won the French has he?I'm approaching the point where I'd probably been happier if he'd lost to the bird man last round. I don't need to see these matches anymore.
It's looking as if joker is going to make a strong run at second best all time.
Fed
Pete
Laver
Ralph
Nole? And moving up. 15 slams seems reachable
