Terrible Songs You Love (1 Viewer)

So I was listening to Pandora and CCR comes on "Have you ever sent he rain". I says to myself, I says, this song is great...but if you really listen, the lyrics are horrible.

What song do you like or love that lyrically sucks?

I have a 70's top 40 Pandora station that plays some horrible stuff by Ambrosia, Player, Bee Gees etc. that I love for some reason. Probably 9 out of 10 songs that play on that station would fit this category.

I like a lot of the stuff from the 70's. I find myself listening to "the bridge" on XM quite a bit these days. Get off my lawn!

:goodposting:

Some specifics that come to mind:

Into the Night - Benny Mardones

I Go Crazy - Paul Davis

I Like Dreamin - Kenny Nolan

I am a sucker for the cheesy 70s male power ballads. Love belting these out as I'm cruising down the highway :bag:

How do you even know these songs? You wouldn't feel that way if you had to live through them clogging the radio. Power ballads are bad ...these don't even qualify and are somewhere beneath them.

"I like dreaming"?? ...you have to be kidding.

Please come to Boston - Dave Loggins

Im not in Love - 10cc

Cool Change - Little River Band

Time Passages - Al Stewart

Skylark - Wildflower

Afternoon Delight- Starland Vocal Band

Magnet and Steel- Walter Egan

Lay a Little Lovin' on Me- Robin McNamara

How Do You Do- Mouth and McNeil

Love is the Answer- England Dan & John Ford Coley

Ok I Like Dreaming was partly schtick. I do like belting out the other two, though. I think my Dad must have had a thing for the power ballads and I learned from being in the car. He had a lot of Barry Manilow and Queen records, too.

NOT a terrible song
These aren't that bad, except for the Time Passages. I just listened to it, haven't heard it in years - so creepy bad.
