In leagues that give 1.5 PPR for TEs, 1.0 PPR for WRs, and .5 PPR for RBs. How early is too early?

Assume standard scoring otherwise. 6pt TDs Rush/Rec. 4pt TDs Passing.

The TE1 is usually off the board in any format by round 4 so I stopped the Poll choice there.

I'm curious what people think is "reaching" for a TE in this format. Personally I could see TEs going as early as bottom of the 2nd in this format.

Thank you for your votes!

Scoring matters a bit, but starting roster will affect this too.

Must start 1 TE and 1 only?

Flex option to start a 2nd TE?

TE completely optional as WR/TE flex spot?

The number of teams in the league can matter too, especially for "Start only 1" positions like QB and TE.

Also, is this new for your league this year or has this scoring been used in the past with the same owners?

I always try to research prior drafts in established leagues because certain tendencies will often jump out, like "Oh, this league is QB happy and there is always a Top 5 TE left in Round 4, so I'll wait."

1) Go read "FBG PC Draft Dissected"

2) Your poll as others have said is missing a lot of choices, but it boils down to what YOU are comfortable with that scoring and lineup wise there is no wrong spot (but if it "makes you feel bad" then it is not the right option for YOUR draft)

Using the worst starter method with a flex, Gates and Clark should be #7 and #8 off the board.

Joe's Secret Method puts them in the 4th round...which is why you should be careful using this VBD baseline.

I have had good success in the FFPC 1.5 ppr for TE format and I typically wait on my TE's most every time. There are always quality TE's later on to grab and you can load up on the value of RB and WR while they drop more than they should. Seems like this year people are chasing TE's too early and leaving tons of value at RB and WR early on. Thats just my opinion but thats how I have drafted teams in that format.
