Texans at Broncos (1 Viewer)

RT Derek Newton against Dumerville is a big matchup today. And Dumerville wins the first battle with a safety.

Texans need to stop the Denver running game with their front 7 so they can give Kareem Jackson safety help and let him play up closer than he normally does. Peyton's smart enough to hit a lot of slants and comebacks if Jackson plays off as much as he normally does.

Texans D looking good, forced a Denver punt that pinned Houston deep. Schaub sacked by Dumerville in the end zone for a safety. Broncos get the ball in good field position on the free kick, get to the 20 and kick a FG.

Houston with the ball now, picked up 2 first downs... and just hit AJ for a deep touchdown.

Andre Johnson would have amazing stats if Schaub had a better arm. He normally has to stop on deep balls and wait for the pass to get to him. On this play he got himself so open beating the safety he had plenty of time to stop and wait, make the catch, and still beat everyone to the end zone. 60 yards.

Nice job by Mitchell shedding the block, or that draw would have went for aways.

And Peyton sacked on 3rd down by Watt and Reed, plus holding called on the play.

Denver's punter pins Houston deep again. Texans with 3 false starts already, though the last only cost a yard and a half for half the distance.

Tate picks his way out to the 7, then a pass to Daniels to the 10.

More good run blocking. Foster shifts through the hole running behind Caldwell and Newton on the right side for a big gain.

Nice play by Denver D on 1st down, DE pressure on the bootleg and Porter comes up to tackle the relief valve in the flat.

Stat of the game so far... Broncos 1-4 on 3rd down conversions, Texans are 4-4.

Denver doing a pretty decent job picking up the blitzes and giving Peyton a chance to get rid of the ball.

Texans succeeding in the running game, and now the play action is there. Schaub to Kevin Walter for a 52 yard TD.

Nice job by Manning standing in against pressure, 23 yards to Thomas. And add Cushing's helmet hitting Peyton's for another 15. Peyton at the 8.

Nice stand by the Denver defense, stuffing a run, knocking down a pass, and then good coverage on 3rd down.

Schaub had Owen Daniels open deep but the safety closed and made the stop. Then on 3rd down back to Daniels to pick up a first.

Woodyard with a great one-handed interception. Ruled as having stepped out on the return or Denver would be in FG range.

Any word on the Nate Irving injury?
All I caught was that he was able to walk back to the bench. It looked on the replay like he hit Holliday helmet to helmet, but then as they were going down Holliday's elbow caught him on the chin. Might have knocked him out for a bit.

Haul that in Andre! Thats the second deep ball he's had in his hands and dropped. Now he has Yates throwing to him too.

Damn that replay shows he had it but Bailey kicked it out. Real close, not really his fault.

May's going to see a big fine. Lowered his helmet and went head to head, no attempt to hit his body at all.

That second play should not have been roughing. Schaub held onto the ball util the last second and got hit by two defenders. Nobody went after his head. I don't see why that's a penalty.
