So if you were a betting individual (1 Viewer)

BetUs odds as of Thursday morning

Kansa City vs Philadelphia +1
Over/Under 49 1/2

Right now I'm leaning the over
Surprised KC only 1 point favorites.

I'm having a hard time envisioning Mahommes NOT getting it done and Sirianni somehow making a screwy decision to cost them the game.
Historically I think this is a fair take, but tbh, that has not been his MO for most of this season. He's actually been pretty on point with his in-game decisions for months now.

Two of the best defenses in the league. Eagles defense has held opponents to 23 points or less in every game going back to week 4 (except the Washington game that saw Jalen leave in the second drive and CJGJ get ejected.) That game, Washington was doing nothing offensively until CJGJ went out. Then they went TD, TD, TD.

All that being said, I think the 49.5 is low. I'm expecting a 27-33 type game.
30-24

Okay my fellow betting individuals, I need a ruling on if this was a shady thing that BetOnline pulled on me.

During the Commanders/Lions game BetOnline's live betting made a mistake on a line and accidentally offered Washington "next team to score" at +1400 when Washington had the ball, 1st and goal inside the 10.

I took the bet for a tiny amount (mostly because I thought I might be misreading something).

In the end it was clearly a mistake on the line, which typically when that happens they remove the line and then immediately refund the bet as a no contest.

However in this case, by the time they noticed, it was 4th and goal and Washington had clearly shown intent to go for it before a stoppage in play. So now there was a good chance Washington would not score. They did remove the line, but they did NOT refund the bet as a no contest. They had plenty of time to do it during the play stoppage, but did not.

AFTER Washington converted the 4th down and scored, they then refunded the bet as a no contest/mistake.

Now I only put 30 bucks on this so it's a negligible amount of money, and I totally get I was already shady on my side by taking the bet at +1400 when it was clearly a mistake, but it seems like they decided that by the time they noticed the mistake there was a pretty good chance the +1400 bet may actually lose, so they waited to refund the bets until they saw what the result of the 4th down play was. Then only after seeing Washington convert that did they say "oh whoops it was a mistake, we're ruling this a no contest".

Seems like they were trying to have their cake and eat it to, and they were waiting to see the final result before they decided if they wanted to grade it as a loss or rule it as a no contest. Which seems extremely crappy on their part.

Thoughts?

Totally agree that they waited, but how do you even fight that?

There's definitely no way to fight it as it's an off-shore book, nor am I inclined to (it was a small amount of money anyway). But I do have a significant account size on there so if it seems likely they pull stuff like this, I would consider moving it elsewhere. Not that I expect any offshore book to be the most upstanding company in the world but seeing it actually happen makes me want to consider trying a different one out. I mostly just wanted a sanity check to see if my theory was reasonable.

Putting myself in your situation
I would be pulling my funds and looking elsewhere
Perception is reality
And the perception seems to be on the shady side imop

Vegas says the top bet so far in this years Super Bowl is The Eagles M/L
I'm still leaning the over
Anyone make a wager?
Or change their mind?

Follow the sharp money. If they're betting Eagles ML, bet it.

I like the under. I'm thinking a score of 31-17 Eagles. Maybe 28-17. In that range.

First TD is a fun bet, win or lose you can check out of the game if things get out of hand one way or the other. Reid usually comes up with a decent early script so I'll take Kelce and Hunt at +1000 each. I'd have a Philly guy also but Barkley and Hurts are paying only half that, so I'll go for the payoff here.

I have to be careful as once I start it’s hard for me to stop. I might have taken a boost parley of Mahomes 2 TDs and a KC Win.

Heads and KC winning the toss, Philly +1.5, Over 48.5 and Def/ST TDs by both teams, separately. Didn’t really wanna bet but needed a rooting interest to hang on for most of the game.
