I’m harsher on kickers than most around here, but I have to say thanks.

On a day where Jefferson & Barkley let me down, Tyler Bass & his 6 FG for 26.2 saved my bacon, propelling me to the 9-2 1-seed.

In my other league I took down the 1-seed with Maher.

Thank you, kickers. I will probably disparage you again in the future, but at least for this weekend, I appreciate you.

Maher definitely helped me win this week big time. The only other time I really recall a kicker doing anything extraordinary on my team was Fairbairn back in 2018 for Houston, first round of the playoffs, Houston at the Jets. I think he got me like 20 points. Maher topped that this week.

October 1st, 2017, Gregg Zeurlein of the LAR kicked 7 FGs. In our league, it was the highest score ever for a kicker. 30 points worth of FGs.

Looks like Jason Myer of the NYJ accomplished the same feat a year later.

Carlson, after missing a 46 yard FG early, made 3 FGs, including 2 from 50+. I was hoping for a 4th FG in OT, but Carr to Adams spoiled that. Going forward, Carlson kicks in good weather locations, except wk 16 @PIT. The inconsistency on offense is a concern, but Carlson as a PK is in the tier just below Tucker.

Our commish angrily posted in our league Discord that he was losing to Brett Maher, but his phone tragically autocorrected to Bill Maher.

I immediately pointed out that he should have started John Oliver, the rest of the league (bunch of South Jersey/Philly jerks) has been making some variation of this joke for 10 hours (WDIS? Kimmel or Fallon at WR), and the commish is losing it.
