The 1977 Song Draft (1 Viewer)

5.02--Odyssey-"Native New Yorker"

This may not be a real well known song, but I really like it.
:excited: Obviously got a lot of play in the NYC area.

Abba- Dancing Queen

My first foray into disco.

Because I'm a mobile DJ, I have a special fondness to this one. Probably because it's one of those "never fail" songs that get people on the dance floor.

I like this song. Liked Muriel's Wedding as well.

It is certainly the highlight of "Mamma Mia!" when Donna and the Dynamos come out and do this number. It's also the big encore too.

Queen - "Spread Your Wings"

I figured We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions would go first, and that's OK with me. IMO, this is the best song from News Of The World, and I didn't want to risk not getting it. Love the ending solo by Brian May.

 Should've never lasted this long.

Man, this is really the toughest year for me so far (too much to choose from).

I think it's because it was probably the one year of my life that I was most into the current hits of the day.

In addition, there is a HUGE amount of great non Top-40 stuff from '77 that I discovered much later on.

I've done some serious paring down, and still have 13 individual songs that I REALLY want, and 11 albums with multiple tracks that I want.

:hophead:

:goodposting: There is so much good stuff out there that unfortunately I'll have to leave a lot of stones left unturned. :(
