Christine Sixteen - KISS

"I don't usually say things like this to girls your age, but when I saw you

coming out of the school that day, that day I knew, I knew, I've got to have

you, I've got to have you."

:headbang:
Can they even play that on the radio?

That whole side two of Kiss Alive II is awesome. Makes the whole album.

The seventies featured a lot of songs about guys in their thirties coveting sixteen year-olds. Ringo had You're Sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine, and Dr. Hook had She was only sixteen.Perverts ruled the airwaves!

i'm surprised no group went for that extra push over the cliff and released a song called "She's Only Fifteen! (That's Right, I Said It)"

10:11 - Generation X - Your Generation

Classic punk from Billy Idols band before he want on to seek fame and fortune.

Lacks the hard edge of a lot of other punk material and the punk movement generally disowned this band, but it was fun
can i get a link? i'm not challenging the pick, just doesn't jive with what i was finding.

might be something else i would like to take by them.

I guess Benny Mardones was late to the party.Remember, though ... 16 is legal in Maryland (no joke).

Single released in 1977 in UK. Album 1978. Although there is the possibility that it wasn't released in the US in 1977. I'll probably have to change this won't I?
Your Generation

track 8 on the album GENERATION X (GEN X), Chrysalis 1978, duration 3:11

7" ,B-side...Day by Day, Chrysalis CHS 2165 , Sept 1977

Sounds kind of like the Clash ruling. Let me know if you find other info, but, otherwise, this one looks ineligible.

oops. sorry jmlb. i was just wondering if that was the only song released before the album.

Is this one fair game?

Boston - "More Than a Feeling"

I know it's overplayed and cheesy, but I'll take it in the eleventh.
I think this album and single was 1976?
This is correct. The other Boston selection was good because the single was released so long after the album.

But "Foreplay/Long Time" was '77?
Technically ... it only charted as "Long Time". "Foreplay" was cut off the single release (though AOR stations kept playing them together).

Because of the mass of people protesting the inclusion of this song I'll change it to10:11 - The Stranglers - London Lady

Finest moment on the great Rattus Norvegicus IV

11.16 -- Andy Gibb -- "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water"
