I got the same thing a few weeks ago, and it turned out to be the white cable. My daughter got it and chewed the end and bent a few on the leads in the plug. Check it with another cable, if that doesn't work, you may be up a creek.so I went away to the beach for the week and all of a sudden I got this message constantly that said 'this accessory is not compatible with this Iphone" I google it and most people say it's some kind of dirt in the charging dock jack-hole. I figure I got some sand or something in there so I almost collapse a lung as I try to blow it out and after three days the problem seems to be gone.. but now my Iphone won't charge at all and the message i get now is something like "charging not supported with this accessory".. well i was getting that message until the battery totally died and now i'm getting nothing.I peeked in the charging dock-hole and it looks like there might be some lint or something in one of the sides but it's hard to tell and i'm afraid to go and dig in there as I don't want to short it out.I also noticed that inside the charging dock thing it's a bit green looking :X .. my BIL said it might be corrosion..
