i synced my i[phone with my computer and it is copying old #### onto my iphone, even though i have the intsall new apps button unchecked

it seems the only way i can find to not have this happen is to manage the apps withint the computer interface, which sucks.

it is possible i am a moron

Does anyone know if Radio Shack will sell the T-Mobile off-contract version?
Answering my own question (in case anyone else cares), Radio Shack doesn't sell the T-Mobile version.

Have you tried unchecking them on the list at the left on the Apps page on your iPhone. That should stop them from syncing in the future.

Just ordered a 6 128GB for my wife from verizons page, will be delivered on friday. Surprised I was able to order today and have it show up on Friday.

She doesn't care about these types of things but i'm looking forward to playing with it. She takes piles of pics/videos and i'm constantly having to data dump her 16gb current iphone so the 128gb will be perfect. I can't believe how fast she generates 16GB of pics/videos.

it would be nice if i could sort that list by items on the phone

although i did that and civrev2 is still copying onto the phone

I just spoke with the GF and we decided we're going to name our first born "widget" in honor of Apple's invention of this awesome new technology.

The tiny box in which third-party apps are confined isn’t so tiny anymore in iOS 8.

Apple has historically kept a very tight leash on developers, limiting access to key iOS features in order to ensure adequate battery life and to keep devices secure. In iOS 8, Apple has finally found ways to let developers spread their wings a bit, and one way they can do that is with widgets.

As we showed you in a recent hands-on preview of the new iOS 8 Dataman widget, the sky is the limit with iOS 8 widgets, which can bring a wide range of new functionality to iOS devices. The bad news, however, is that widgets are confined to the Today screen in Notification Center, thus ensuring battery drain and clutter are kept to an absolute minimum.

Sprint - I ordered via the Sprint website on Sat, 9/13:

Item Status: Shipped

(On FedEx Tracking - "future delivery scheduled" - 9/19 by 8pm)
In before chet-rage.

Interestingly, I looked at my order status (6+ 64gb). It was 10/13-10/22 since I ordered, but now says 10/2-10/13.
All good after I spend an hour on the phone explaining that I should get one this week.

Preorder Processing

Expected Ship Date: 09/17/2014 To 09/18/2014

Mark me down as another that went to Radio Shack and had no problem today reserving a 6 for Friday. I just hope Radio Shack stays in business until then...

I just went through the order screens on the apple store site to upgrade via AT&T and it appears that my existing plan and unlimited data will continue per the order screen.

Any truth to this? Sorryif this has been addressed, I can't read #### on this tiny iphone 5 screen.

How popular are the 64GB phones? I'm thinking of spending that extra $100 to be one the "safe" side when it comes to apps/future apps and pics and things. I would have bought a 32GB had one been available since 16GB, oddly, seems too small. Ten years ago who would have thought 16GB would be small?

Will wait to hold one but I am still leaning to the regular 6. A large phone is just not for me.

Connect your phone to the computer you sync with and install iOS8 with iTunes. No extra space required, fellas.

Yes16GB is way too small on a phone. Went 128 and I'm sure I'll fill it up.

@GSElevator: My liberal friends excited for a new iPhone, made by kids in China, from rare metals, mined by slaves, from a company that pays no tax.

I still have my Mac Classic with a whopping 40MB hard drive!

My buddy got his case for the 6+. It's huge.

Does anybody remember that SNL skit where Will Ferrell would talk in a club on a super tiny phone (when they kept getting smaller)? I think we've reached that point in the other direction. Wait til you look around and all you see is people talking on tablets this next year. :lmao:

Once you get iOS 8 installed on your old iPhone, you need to install SwiftKey. To enable it , go into Settings-> General-> Keyboards -> Add New Keyboard. Pick SwiftKey then give it full access.

To make it your default keyboard, go back in Settings-> General-> Keyboards and click on Edit in top right. Delete English Keyboard and move SwiftKey to top in case you have another keyboard beside SwiftKey. You can add English back later on if you change your mind.

Thanks was wondering what the app was, but first thing I noticed was no way to activate talk to text with Siri. I use that most of the time during the day but I'll try this for awhile. But this post is probably the fastest post I've ever typed....

Same boat as you. Went with 16 GB 6 for Mrs. Osaurus and 64 GB 6 for me. The 32 GB would have been my preference as well. Worth it IMO.ETA: Both shipped for delivery tomorrow. First time we both have had a new phone at the same time.

must be some pretty intense security in west chester PA, seems like all the iphones are currently sitting in a warehouse there.
