So you stated that people need to "shut the hell up" if they believe the notion that Cam Newton lacks football intelligence because you heard from some people that he processed things well on the whiteboard during his pre-combine meetings?

That's just as presumptuous and ridiculous, no? At the very least, I would certainly think the concerns about his football IQ are warranted as he's never before been asked to process the amount of information in a limited time as he will be asked to during an NFL game. Communicating effectively while properly breaking down a play on a whiteboard doesn't prove a whole heck of a lot IMO. I don't have a horse in this race, but I thought that comment to start off the podcast was craziness.

I don't like people spreading the 'cam newton is dumb' talk because he didn't show the ability to analyze a complex defense in college. In team meetings post-combine he was very impressive from people I've talked to. There's been a lot of buzz about his lack of intelligence and I think it's unfair to say that at this time. thanks for listening!
