Relatively speaking, sure. You had at least 3 other guys sitting around talking about how they "were done" that backed off from it almost immediately when she started crying and he's the one guy that had the nuts to go through with it (though I did get the sense that he was kind of hoping for a different reaction from his "send me home" speech).I got a kick out of Ashley's "I'm just not good at communicating what I feel" bit. No sweetie, you are. Just not with words.And it's obvious that JP has bought into this nonsense. If he isn't around to have it all fall apart a month or so after the show is done airing, it will be a major upset.

ABC isn't even good at veiling their manufactured drama anymore. Our heroine was clearly coached or prepped for that Bentley meeting. No way she completely figures out his MO in 30 seconds of talking to him after weeks of pining for a guy who never really said anything of substance to her.

Also they tried to sexy her up in that dress last night but they did her no favors. They should have picked either long gown or manufactured cleavage, not both. Because she's short and they scrunched up her upper body to get cleavage, that dress made her look like a female gymnast dressed up for the ESPYs.

That Constantine guy is obviously just along for the ride, enjoying the free vacations and bro time. The rest of them are clowns. This is a train wreck. Anybody notice Ames awkward stance/stare/blinking when she was handing out roses? I was hoping he'd get one because he's so damn unfortunate-looking. If Constantine and the other guy who looks exactly like Constantine are the last two, it'll be like that Jeremy Irons thriller where he plays twins.

Re: the Bachelor or Bachelorette. They keep casting these people that were in 2nd or 3rd place on the previous season. I suppose the idea is to provide some continuity for the Haggenjama crowd that watches the show. THat said, they've had like 600 seasons already so I'm pretty sure they aren't adding (or losing) any new viewers with each incarnation. Why not find someone genuinely awesome to play the role? The last three Bachelors have been dorks - Brad was exposed for being a loser, the airplane guy was exposed for just DYING to be a D list celebrity, the guy with the kid is the "safe" choice in life. The chicks aren't any better. Ashley is neither attractive nor interesting.
Why don't they find some guy that's a widower and runs a hedge fund and gets along well with his mother? The chick viewers would EAT IT UP.
Why don't they find a nice girl that got left at the altar or has a peg leg or something sympathetic so the viewers are cheering for her to find love?

She's awful. We knew that going into the season (pretty sure a few of us said as much) but I don't think any of us knew how bad it would be. The entire "dot, dot, dot" dialog disgusted me. I can't believe there are grown-ups out there who talk like this. There's not one guy in the group that I'd even remotely consider grabbing a beer with. Maybe the twins who wore the red robes last night. They might be mildly entertaining, but I would bet there's not much in there beyond "HEY LOOK, CRAZY ROBES!" Stupid.

Either way the tidbit you mentioned about her supposed relationship gives info on the fate of one of the current contestants which (though we may guess) we don't really know yet if we've only been watching the show w/o outside source information.
