CJ3 fell to me (no lie) at #11 overall in my dynasty league rookie draft. After seeing him play the last two weeks, I think he should have gone #1 overall. I feel blessed. He's going to be really good. People are saying "Poor Man's Reggie Bush" but I think Chris and Reggie are pretty comparable in what they bring to their respective teams. I'd call them even on potential and skill set, with Reggie getting the nod in QB play and name recognition. I really like him. He needs a good nick-name... lets think of one...

But on the other hand, they've had two weeks to right the ship after playing Pittsburgh, while the coaching staff has more game film on the Titans than the Titans have on them. I think they didn't need him too much so why pound him against a team that is clearly inferior.

Redraft is a whole different ballgame, but wow, CJ owners in dynasty leagues have got to be giddy ( I know I am). This isn't an overnight process. It took guys like Brian Westbrook awhile to become studs, & CJ might be no different. I think when a running back like CJ comes along (which inevitably causes a lot of stir here at FBG), people forget he's only got two games under his belt. It doesn't happen overnight. Patience, grasshopper.

CJ will eventually work his way into a true feature back role. And give the Titans time to get him some more help at the other skill positions. That'll open up the offense & he'll even be more effective. I look at CJ much the way I do Matt Forte. Look at what Forte is doing without much help from not only the other skill positions, but a below-average OL. Forte has been amazing. Same with CJ. TEN & CHI will build around their franchise RBs. Look out when these two kids get more help. These are two really, really talented young RBs.

I'm not questioning his talent or his long-term potential - both of which I'm very high on. But his production is trending in the wrong direction. Meanwhile, LenDale White is becoming the top fantasy RB on that team; Johnson is an afterthought in the passing game and the Vikings are up next on the schedule. I think a lot of folks - myself included - got real giddy after Week 1. But now reality is setting in and reality could be real ugly for Johnson next week. I'm curious as to how many Johnson owners will be sitting him next week. He isn't likely to get much on the ground and he's not being used in the passing game so I'd say he has very little upside in Week 4.

There's no way to say with any certainty how his career will play out, but right now he looks an awful lot like Warrick Dunn on the Falcons/Bucs or Charlie Garner on the Raiders. He brings a nice element of speed and is clearly the most talented back on the team, but he's losing carries and goal line opportunities to a mediocre big back. That's right out of the Dunn/Garner playbook.

Johnson is a good receiver. As a matter of fact, I think he played at least one season as a WR at ECU. He definitely has the skills to excel in the passing game if given more opportunities. In terms of production, he's practically the splitting image of Warrick Dunn during the Duckett years in Atlanta. Lots of carries and yards, but relatively few TDs compared to the league's elite scorers.
