The CJ2K Trade Thread (1 Viewer)

Bought CJ and Dwayne Bowe for Fitzgerald and my 2012 5th rd pick before the Indy game. (1 keeper redraft, so essentially my 6th rounder).

Had Best, Ingram, Wells, Torain/Hightower. Needed to make a move.

Hopefully Best comes back %100, Wells stays healthy, and CJ can be a confident flex play. My rb's scored a total of 20 pts in 3 weeks. I will gladly take the near 10 pts a week from CJ.

In dynasty I offered

CJ2k + Larry Fitzgerald for Darren McFadden + Jay Cutler

or

Sjax + Larry for McFadden + Cutler

He took Sjax. I was actually kind of glad he did. Maybe I'm crazy but I'm not quite ready to get rid of a young player who already has almost 5000 rushing yards in his career based on half a season with a new coach, system, and contract.

Was hurting at RB and traded CJ2.9 for the Jackson boys after week 4. Got Fred and Steven and was very happy een thought Steven was dinged, hell I would have been happy with just Fred...the guy had CJ a couple of years ago and still loved him. Now he is trying to dump him on another team.

Redraft: I Traded away CJ, Hillis and Fitgerald for Jennings and Beanie.

I want no part of CJ with or without Ringer on my roster. That headaches gone!

Although Kolb has been struggling in AZ, he was atleast targeting Fitz but now he's gone for atleast 2 weeks with his toe, so I have no faith in Skelton getting it to him behind that pass block. Enter the Beanie Wells show to my line up.

In a keeper league where I have other good keeper options and am competitive despite my RB black hole, I have been offered MDJ for CJ. Still mulling, but leaning toward taking MJD.

I couldn't hit accept fast enough if I were you.ETA:Just realized you said keeper league.... In that case, I would take 3 minutes to think about it, then hit accept.

Copy and pasting this from the in-season dynasty trade thread:

Just made this deal after some intense negotiations. Guy is 1-7 with NO future draft picks to speak of and put Foster on the block this morning, felt like I needed to jump at the opportunity, although I also think that I overpaid. But a championship is worth it. Deep 36-player rosters, offense only.

I gave:

Chris Johnson

Mark Ingram

Greg Little

Javon Ringer

Jamie Harper

2012 1st (mid)

2012 2nd (late)

2012 3rd (late)

I got:

Arian Foster

Devin Hester (whatever--needed to even out the trade, DEEP roster league.)

Adrian Arrington (whatever..)

Chad Spann (whatever flier)

Josh Brown (needed a backup K, they're all rostered in this league)

2012 4th

2012 5th

Now my starting lineup is:

Newton

Foster, Turner

Megatron, Nicks, Wallace, Austin

Finley/F. Davis

I think I can win the championship with this lineup, as long as I can get into the playoffs, which are a lock at this point even with a rough week 9 bye week coming up.

I think this trade totally depends on how people feel about Chris Johnson and Ingram. I'd appreciate some feedback.

Bought in 2 different leagues.

First One: CJ, Wayne, Owen Daniels and Manningham for Aj Green, Jackie Battle and Santonio Holmes.

Second one: CJ, Sam Bradford and David Nelson for Blount, Sanchez and Dez Bryant.

First one is not so bad. Second one hurts right now.

Thankfully, I sold. 16 team dynasty with 40 man rosters:

I gave:

James, Javarris IND RB

Johnson, Chris TEN RB

Arrington, Adrian NOS WR

Year 2011 Draft Pick 2.07

Year 2012 Round 5 Draft Pick from The BeeGeeZ

He gave:

Nelson, Jordy GBP WR

Connor, Dan CAR LB

Year 2011 Draft Pick 1.02

Year 2011 Draft Pick 2.02

Year 2012 Round 1 Draft Pick from LoungeLizard

I turned his 1.02 into Julio Jones (I got Mark Ingram with the 1.04). And that 2012 1st rounder of his will be a top 5 pick! And there were people in here that said I gave up too much. ;)

Not sure why. This is a thread about recent Chris Johnson trades. I had a recent Chris Johnson trade. The rest of the stuff in the post is just leftover from a copy/paste job from another thread it all pertained to.

3 weeks ago, I bought in a set roster spots league:

CJ.5K and Jason Witten (WR/TE) for Ben Tate and AJ Green (WR/TE)

We keep 4, and I gave up my 2012 1st and a 2013 Conditional 2nd.

Still can't decide what I think. Current roster in signature.

The Foster trade is just brutal. I'm sure it would have been enough even without CJ. I own CJ in only one league, and have only been offered one trade for him. (Dynasty) Colston and a late first for him. I declined it pretty easily.

Just traded CJ in a 12 team PPR Dynasty league.

I gave up CJ and Fitz for Jennings, VJax and 2012 1st rounder (team is currently 1-7 and in line for a top 3 draft pick).

I own Ringer so I hope he ends up with the gig but that is probably unlikely. Either way glad CJ is off my team and I don't have to worry about that bum anymore!!

I just aquired him in my TD only league.

I traded Calvin Johnson and Hardesty for Chris Johnson, Bowe, and Findley. I also tossed in a mid round pick.

12 team redraft PPR:

I traded Roddy White for CJ and Decker. I am sitting at 4-4 and decided to make a swing for the

fences move.

Oh wow that's a gigantic trade right there. The ONLY way I'd consider pulling that trade off in a dynasty is if it was a really really realllllllly big money league. WIthout seeing everyone else's roster, I'm assuming Foster makes you a run away favorite because that's a pretty strong starting lineup. You pretty much gambled your entire future though. Maybe I'm in the minority b/c I don't see how a 2K rusher can suddenly have no positive career outlook, but I think that guy squeezed a lot out of you. Doesn't give you much firepower to go get Ben Tate now.

Wow. I can't believe his value has dropped that much in a dynasty. He's really worth less than SJax?

I offered CJ, Mike Williams, and a fourth rounder for Turner...And he asked for James Starks instead! Wow, I was stunned, but now I can just keep CJ on my bench without wanting to commit homicide. I'd rather him go off on my bench than for someone else in my league.

12 team redraft, been trying to get some sort of decent RB for a couple weeks, so I finally traded CJ and Dez Bryant away for Bradshaw and throwaway (Mike williams TB) yesterday. I wasn't thrilled with it but I needed some kind of RB production. Lo and behold today Bradshaw is out indefinitely. FML. :bag:

I bought in a 32 team dynasty PPR. Deal was made on 9/30

I gave Mendenhall & Vernon Davis

I got Chris Johnson & Zach Miller (Sea)

My thinking was CJ will eventually turn it around and has more value in PPR. My team is not great so I figured I'd try to make a move..so far CJ has let me down, but Mendy has as well.

I was offer CJ for Aaron Hernandez & Ingram.

My Roster:

RB -- Rice/R.Bush/D.Carter/Ingram

WR/TE -- Wallace/Nicks/Manningham/L.Moore/Burleson/Hernandez

It's a WR/TE flex spot.

Do I do it?

I think so since Ingram is dinged and still has his bye week coming. Just worried that CJ might get benched?

In my12 team dynasty ppr league I gave up CJ2k for mendenhall and a 4th rd pick. Not sure if it was a good deal but CJ has been killing me.

SOLD ~ Dynasty PPR

Gave CJ and Steve Smith (ol man Smith) and landed MJD, Crabapple and a 3rd round pick...

Wasn't making the Playoffs this yr and felt the CJ ~ MJD is close to a wash...love Crab's upside at 24 vs Steve Smith at 32

I'm convinced trading CJ away or trading for him will really determine a lot of championships this year. I'd like to revisit this thread at the end of the year to see how teams who were involved with trading him ended up finishing.
You were so on point with this. at some of the trades in here, especially in dynasty or keeper leagues. He has definitely bounced back, and the guys who traded for him are probably in a position to do extremely well in the fantasy playoffs.
Somebody in my league traded Chris Johnson for Adrian Peterson which essentially shifted the balance of power in the entire league. Totally unfair.
To the guy who scooped CJ?
Wallace/Best for Johnson/Gates before this week. I expected CJ to snap out of it against the Colts. No dice. His schedule is pretty easy from here on out, but that effort in such a plus matchup is telling. I'm not hating myself, yet.
 myself. Wallace has done ok, but I wouldn't be 11-2 and the #1 seed if I hadn't made this deal.
I sold in a keep 2 auction leagueChris Johnson 22Dez Bryant 12forJahvid Best 12Desean Jackson 17
Oof.

Traded him before this week for Bradshaw. Even with the injury to Bradshaw I'm relieved.
Ouch.
I'm looking to dump him for Sidney Rice or Andre Johnson.
Just got colston 4 cjfagk strait up
I feel bad for you guys.
Offering in Dynasty:Give Chris JohnsonDemaryus ThomasGetDez BryantQuizz Rodgers
You butchered some of these deals.
hopefully giving up johnson and vincent jackson for andre johnson and boldin in my keeper league. other owner considering it.
done deal
:( Great thread, and a great exercise in fantasy overreaction. Some of these trades are brutal.

Soooo...out of 13 weeks, CJ has gone over the 100 yard mark 4 times and scored 3 touchdowns in those games (total of 4 TD's on the year). Yay. I'd say there are more people that held him that are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs go since you expected him to be a staple of your lineup.

Like in my case, I didn't make the playoffs either (but that is because of the rest of my team). But I did get a top 10 WR in Jordy Nelson, another stud rookie WR in Julio Jones (2011 1.02 pick), a promising TE in Kyle Rudolph (2011 2.02 pick), and that 2012 pick is the #1 overall pick since the guy I traded CJ to ended up 2-11!

CJ would not have helped my team at all. Now I am in a position to continue to restock my team thanks to the haul I got in return for CJ since I am just a couple of pieces away from being in the playoffs.

When I traded for CJ it was with the hopes of pairing him and Forte for a nice playoff run. Lost Forte so now CJ is my feature back.

I'm the #4 up against the undefeated #1 seed. CJ vs the pathetic Colts couldn't come at a better time. With Ringer on IR, this needs to be a 200 yard multiple TD effort.

Bad news: It's an away game.

Good news: It's on turf.

This will probably determine if my CJ trade was worth it or not.

I traded Marshawn Lynch and Bowe for CJ2K and Steve Johnson back in week 6.

Clearly Lynch has outscored CJ2K. However, I like him this weekend at Indy on turf a lot more than I like Lynch at Chicago on grass.

This is my first playoff weekend(had a bye last week). So, CJ2K > Lynch this week was the better overall result for that trade.

I held and then traded DeMarco Murray to a Cowboys fan for Ray Rice right after Murray went for 230 yards. I have been starting Rice since and it has worked out well.

He helped me purely by remaining healthy if nothing else. That and someone bet me he wouldn't finish top 15 among RBs in our league scoring so that one is paying off nicely...

I traded for him before his breakout game a few weeks ago for essentially Dez and a late first rounder. I need him badly this week (opponent had Roddy).
