The FIX redraft (1 Viewer)

FM/commish do you or I have to check that box so I get trade emails? If so where is it on the menu?
You check it. Go to Franchise Info and hit advanced setup, I believe.
You are correct ffweasel.
It's nothing new. ;)
Glad I could make you feel special. Maybe you can use some of that on your drafting? Just a thought. :boxing:
Must be nice to have a top pick again...
Top pick, last pick, pick in the middle, top team, championship ater championship. Trends happen. :banned:

Some interesting observations so far (15 rounds):

Twilight, PAE & chinese democracy (Lamey) has 7 WR's.

PAE and ffweasel each have 3 TE's.

3 teams have 2 D's while 5 teams have none.

All teams but 1 (Radballs) have 2 or more QB's while Team Legacy has 3.

3 teams have 6 RB's.

Only 2 teams have kickers.

With regards to my draft, my team so far is:

Family Matters - Michael Morrison Player Bye

Palmer, Carson CIN QB - 5 7.01

Simms, Chris TBB QB - 4 12.12

Addai, Joseph IND RB - 6 4.12

Barlow, Kevan NYJ RB - 9 11.01

Bennett, Michael KCC RB - 3 16.12

Brown, Chris TEN RB - 7 5.01

Brown, Dee KCC RB - 3 20.12

Johnson, Larry KCC RB - 3 1.01

Boldin, Anquan ARI WR - 9 2.12

Brown, Reggie PHI WR - 9 9.01

Ferguson, Robert GBP WR - 6 17.01

Harrison, Marvin IND WR - 6 3.01

Muhammad, Muhsin CHI WR - 7 8.12

Parker, Eric SDC WR - 3 14.12

Smith, L.J. PHI TE - 9 6.12

Wiggins, Jermaine MIN TE - 6 10.12

Feely, Jay NYG PK - 4 19.01

Rackers, Neil ARI PK - 9 15.01

Bengals, Cincinnati CIN Def - 5 18.12

Buccaneers, Tampa Bay TBB Def - 4 13.01

1.1 I went with LJ in the first round. IMO he's the best back right now. I don't have anything against LT or Alexander but LJ runs with a mean streak that sets him apart IMO.

2.12 Boldin. Usually I would go with another RB here but I like the WR value better. Boldin will do fine. And being a PPR league he looks even better.

3.1 Harrison. Same as above. Harrison is a safe pick that will produce very well.

4.12 Addai. IMO he will be the main RB in Indy. If not to satrt the year certainly by years end. In any case he will get significant time. With the upside that he comes with I like the value here.

5.1 Chris Brown. I think he's a nice value as the 27th RB off the board. White will get some carries but I think Brown is the man this year. White has not done anything to endear himself with the coaches so far. And when healthy, Brown is very productive.

6.12 LJ Smith. At 2 ppr, Smith will likey score top 5 for TE's in this format. He's the #3 option in this offense and with no real WR2 he will get his share. His production last year before McNabb's injury had him tracking top 3 for TE's so I expect more of the same.

7.1 Palmer. I was surprised he lasted this long. In every other draft I've been in he went late 4th early 5th so I wan't expecting to get him. Even if he misses 2 games I will be thrilled. His ppg is 2nd only to Payton.

8.12 Muhammad. As the 36th WR off the board and as my WR3, I am thrilled. His production will be much better than last year and he might even crack 1000 yards again. Who else are they going to throw to?

9.1 Reggie Brown. As the 37th WR off the board I am pleased to get him. Philly has no other WR to threaten his status and he and Smith can share McNabb's love. Based on his 2nd half last year he should pick up where he left off.

10.12 Wiggins. A great compliment to LJ Smith. Both will do well in this format (2 PPR) and now that Krob is likely out Wiggins might be the leading reciever on the team.

11.1 K. Barlow. Within hours of drafting him he gets traded to the Jets. Likely good fortune as he could win the starter's job or at least get significant carries which isn't bad for an RB4.

12.12 Simms. A nice compliment to Palmer. While I expect Palmer to start every games, Simms is nice insurance and might give me a couple of games.

13.1 Tampa Bay. D's score well in this format so having a good D is a nice compliment to the total team. TB has a history of solid D's and will generate many sacks and TO's.

14.12 E. Parker. He is a solid WR that if he can stay healthy he might put up 800 yards. Of course I don't know how Rivers nad he work so time will tell.

15.1 N. Rackers. Kickers will score well and having Rackers should allow me to compete with the upper end of the kicker scoring.

16.12 Bennet, Michael. A little insurance for LJ.

17.1 Ferguson, Robert. Any WR2 at this point should have some value. And as my WR6 he ain't too bad.

18.12 Cinn D/ST. Maybe I'm a sucker but they seem to create TO's which often lead to scores. A nice pairin with Tampa Bay.

19.1 Jay Feeley. IMO the best player available in the 19th round for this team.

20.12 Dee Brown. I debated going with Frye here but how often is he gonna outscore Palmer and Simms? Not often. Protecting my most valuable asset was important. Extra insurance against LJ and with the very fragile Bennett as the other back up I thought this made the most sense. It's easier to blind bid a QB then to get a RB if it comes down to it.

So far this team is balanced and has top level players at all positions. Filling 7 RB/WR/TE positons every week will be challenging but I like the chances of this team to make the playoffs and challenge for a title. Several factors to get there will be:

1. Good health of course. Palmer, Brown and Barlow are the keys. If they're healthy they can produce some great numbers. Not sure what to expect from Barlow but he should get some opportunites.

2. Addai must be the primary back. If he secures the job in time for the fantasy playoffs this team will be hard to beat. I'm not tied into that but I must have 1 of Addai, Brown or Barlow in order to start the minimun 2 RB's.

Guys I look in Top Performers and Stephen Davis is there

I click Owners/Draft and he's not listed there to pick

I re-check on the draft page and he's not on a team

I go back to Top Performers and there, there's no FF team listed for him either

Back to draft, he's not there

Go to rosters, not on anyone's roster

Well, I'm taking some other Davis as a placeholder as to not hold this up.

I don't see him listed as a draft option either. They'll probably add him when he signs with a team.

FM check your PMs, seeking a "placeholder" permission
T davis is fine until they update the players. Then I will add him. Just remind me. The reason he shows up under "Top Performers" is becasue that's last year's stats.

WHY is this draft taking so long?

Commish I have to leave for Las Vegas and the FSTA meetings and NFFC next week, so we need to be finished. If this does not pick up today, can we maintain the clock during the weekend and shorten it to 4 hours on Monday if necessary?

Sorry but I'm not sure what to do that will speed it up. Guys need to check in and/or predraft in order to keep things moving. Unfortunately, a couple have been timing out some and taking longer than others. It would of been nice if we had done a live draft to avoid this but most didn't want that so we're stuck with this. It only takes 1 to drafg the whole draft down.As for changing rules in the middle of the stream, not goona happen. Every change I've submitted has been rejected so I doubt this would be nay different. I suggest predrafting as best you can and/or standing by your cell so we can call you if needed.

We're a few picks away from completing the 17th round. That leaves three more rounds. I suspect that most people will be jumping in for kickers and defenses. It should be easy for people to just submit a predraft list at those spots. IMO, most people have the team that they will go with save for non-vital positions or deep roster depth. Slow yes, but almost done.

Mike might want to check the options for the league. There is a check mark on whether Free Agents (NFL players not on a team) are available, and it is probably checked.

Thanks for the tip. I have fixed it so "Free Agents" show on the draft report.Bri-I added Davis to your team.

Capt. I thought you owned a poker site but I guess I'm wrong. baseball? Curious about the FSTA meeting

Bri - no I don't own a poker site (wifey would really kill me then)

FSTA is Fantasy Sports Trade Association

I write baseball (it was Mastersball.com, but we were bought by Fantasybaseball.com) As a result of already working for that organization and being so heavily involved with WCOFF and NFFC, I was hired to write for the football site as well.

FM Curious what you have to say to this-

I think Addai fans underestimate the notion that Dungy will not get his QB killed out there. Over the years, we've all seen rookie RBs not play as much as we liked because of poor blocking and he seems to be that type to me.

Addai has been recognized as a good blocker from what I've heard. Did something happen that I don't know about? I didn't see the game. I still think Rhodes gets more carries early than later and that Addai will become the man after week 6-8.

FIX Dynasty winners and losers from today's news (Greg Jones out for the year and Donte Stallworth traded to the Eagles)

Loser - Team Ravnzfan - Baskett now WR3 at best

Winner - Team Ravnzfan - at least a small bump for Fred Taylor

LOSER - Twiglight - sorry for the Jones loss

Winner - Team Legacy - Stallworth has to be good for McNabb AND Reggie Brown

Winner - Radballs - Horn will be busy

WINNER - Capt Hook - much better situation for Stallworth

FIX Redraft

Winner - Family Matters - help for Reggie Brown

Winner - Iwannabeacowboy - small bump for Fred Taylor

WINNER - Chinese Democracy - much better situation for Stallworth

Winner - Team Legacy - toot that Horn

LOSER - Team Legacy - Jones gone from thin RB group

Winner - Twilight - help for McNabb and plus for Maurice Drew

Anyone else wonder if the Saints are done dealing?

Perhaps moving Stallworth would allow them to trade for Jerry Porter to get him out of Shell's doghouse and pair up with Joe Horn?

I would think they're freeing up some money for next year. Money+extra picks seems like a smart move in building a franchise.
