I get a "you are not eligible to enter this league" banner clicking that link. What's up?
Do you meet the qualifications?I get a "you are not eligible to enter this league" banner clicking that link. What's up?
You can get the FBG designator in these ways:1. You signed up to FanDuel via the new signup link above (free or pay). If you deposited $25 into FanDuel, you also received a free FBG subscrription2. You played in the FBG freerolls last year and never deposited money3. You are a FBG, but deposited money some other method to FanDuel and request to be have the FBG designator added (email cameron@fanduel.com)
So I played in the week 1 contest but but this one says I'm not eligible.
Although they will let you do two freerolls other than the FBG contest. You can enter both the "Beat Peter King" and the "Radio Listener" freerolls. But, if you're in the FBG contest, you can't enter either of the other two.yeah can only be in one free roll at a time.
I'm in one other than FBG and it won't let me enter any other freeroll.I can't figure out how to get out of the one I'm in either. I think once you're in, you're in...but I could be wrong.Although they will let you do two freerolls other than the FBG contest. The first 15 weeks only payout for the top 22 entries. In Week 16 the final 30 people compete (top two from each previous week).Dave,I noticed you listed the correct payouts for the 30 finalists below, but on the contest link on the site it says only twenty are paid. Please update the contest link so that it shows the 30 payouts.Thanks.
The post here does show that 19-30 get $500, but the webpage shows 19-20 get $500. Seems like that is the confusion, not the weekly to final payouts. Does anyone know if you are allowed to win multiple entries to the final?'LittlePhatty said:The first 15 weeks only payout for the top 22 entries. In Week 16 the final 30 people compete (top two from each previous week).Dave,I noticed you listed the correct payouts for the 30 finalists below, but on the contest link on the site it says only twenty are paid. Thanks for the clarification! If you've already qualified for the Championship, can you earn additional entries by placing in the top two in subsequent weeks?Confirming here that the Championship pays to 30 spots. So if you qualify, you will win at least $500
I would think so, but I don't see it in the rules anywhere. If you pay the money to enter why not? p.s. congrats on the getting qualified. I'm jealous! Thanks for the clarification! Congrats man. I finished 4th with Reggie Bush as one of my RB's, any othe RB and I would have been right there with you
Long time lurker, signed up for these forums just to bring this point up. For the last several weeks, this contest has been hovering around 200 entries. For week 11, it maxed out at 555. The strangest part is, at 11:00am on Sunday morning, there were only 180ish entries. So over the last 2 hours before the games, there were an additional 375 entries??? Something's not right. I emailed Dodds yesterday about this, but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone have some insight? The number of people playing nearly tripled this week. What is up with that?
I noticed that as well. One would have to wonder if some non-FBGers somehow got in.Long time lurker, signed up for these forums just to bring this point up. I will not be playing in it anymore if this is the and feel a bit cheated out of my entry from last week.Yeah they opened it up to non FBGs I saw it in the FanDuel area on Sunday morning. Not cool at all, makes me not want to play this contest going forward. I am fine if it fills up with 555 entries but would like it to be against other FBG members

Yeah, that also happened earlier in the season - week 4 I think. I stopped playing in the contest at that point (until this weekYeah they opened it up to non FBGs I saw it in the FanDuel area on Sunday morning. Hi Folks,I don't have an answer for you yet but wanted to let you know David is asking the FanDuel guys to look at this to make sure everything is straight. Thanks.J
Awesome, appreciate the update. Keep up the good workHi Folks,I don't have an answer for you yet but wanted to let you know David is asking the FanDuel guys to look at this to make sure everything is straight. Thanks.J
Thanks Cameron.JHi guys,
I apologise for the confusion caused last weekend in the FBGFC qualifier. Over the last few weeks we have been disappointed with the how far short of the cap the contest have been falling. As way to combat this opened it up to a wider audience last week. We totally underestimated how much the footballguys community wanted it to remain private, this was an oversight on our part and I apologise for this.
This week thinks are back to normal and you will only be able to access the FBGFC via the links on footballguys.com on the mailers.

As an apology for last week's mistake we will be running a "FootballGuys.com $200 Turkey Day Free Contest" for Thursday games only. You can access the turkey day free contest here:

At FanDuel we really admire the FootballGuys community and love working with FootballGuys. Both FanDuel and Joe/David are absolutely committed to making the most our partnership and that includes giving the footballguys community the offers and promotions they would like to see. So feel free to get in touch with me at cameron@fanduel.com if you have any ideas on what you would like to see next year's FBGFC.
If anyone has any questions about FBGFC Week 11 qualifier or anything else about FanDuel please feel free to contact me directly at cameron@fanduel.com
Thanks,
Cameron
Thanks eaglezzz. David and I actually spoke about this earlier and agreed we should remove the entry cap this week to encourage more entries.Good Luck! Thanks for the update Cameron. Glad it is back to normal and only the Footballguys community. A better way to get these filled up would have been to allow 4-5 entries each or to lower the buy in to $5. Only 4 more weeks left to qualify so good luck to all.
I agree it is not fair. It was promised that this contest was going to be FBG's only and now this has been the 2nd week this year that they opened it up for everyone to enter. You know Joe/David have hooked up FanDuel with a lot ot new members and money with this partnership, and for FD to try to just make more money is kind of riduculous. But don't worry we get a free $200 freeroll (I would prefer my $20 back from last week)How many Fbg failed to finish in the money this past week that otherwise would've been top 22?
That's my only concern I finished 6th. If I finished in the top 2 out of FBG members ill be really upset so I emailed Cameron and asked him about it.How many Fbg failed to finish in the money this past week that otherwise would've been top 22?
Agree with this. Glad it is fixed going forward, but leaves a bad taste in my mouth that they tried to pull this off. I don't buy that Cameron is surprised that the FBG community wanted to keep this private. Why would we want outsiders winning prizes that were guaranteed and reserved for the FBG community? I think he's surprised they got caught trying to pull a fast one. Feel bad for JShare and others that got the short end of the stick this week. I'd be really upset about this if I were him because at the very least he likely got cheated out of a couple hundred dollars and possibly a finals seat. I'll also be a little disappointed if Dave/Joe are satisfied by this answer, since they had an agreement with Fanduel which was broken. But like I said, I'm glad it is corrected moving forward and I do really enjoy participating on Fanduel. I'll give it another chance, but if something like this happens again I'll take my business to draftsheet or elsewhere.I agree it is not fair. Fantastic. More entries for the same prize pool. Just peachyThanks eaglezzz. They signed up for it fair and square and risked their cash so they can't be DQ'd.This probably wasn't the best idea to begin with. If the contests don't fill, either FD or FBG is taking abeating. If they fill to capacity, we are the suckers for playing a game that doesn't have a rate of payout as good as the normal games. That's a tough balancing act.Side bar...Maybe someone can chime in here. I've noticed these contests don't have min enteries to run. Their other contest do. I thought min enteries was a no-no based on how I've seen high stakes leagues run?So if non-FBG have qualified for the final are they still going to be allowed to keep those slots? Or are they disqualified for the FBG final so that a FBG can have it? Maybe the non-FBG winners can have a freeroll or something instead.
