What will have more impact on Flacco's numbers: Revis finally signing or Housh being acquired? I'm on the fence as to whether this will devalue Flacco week one. Since Revis was a Jet last year, his catching up won't be the same hurdle as it will for Housh. But maybe I'm missing something here. Is it easy for a wr to come in and start right away? I would have to think if the Ravens are trading Clayton so quickly it may not be as big an issue as I think it might be. And for Revis, how much has he really missed? I'm under the assumption that not much has changed for the Jets D this year. But I wonder if there might be a rust issue whether that be mental errors or catching up physically.

I hope this doesn't come across as a wsis. I just want more information to look at as this situation is quite unique and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Ravens | T.J. Houshmandzadeh will play Week 1

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh will play in Week 1 because he has played in the team's offense system before, reports Mike Duffy, of BaltimoreRavens.com.

Im sure Revis with matchup vs Boldin. Hous will probably be an after thought and only be in on 3rd n longs.

Normally I would say bench Boldin but its week1 and he might not be in "football" shape, i would be more worried later in the year about matching up vs. Revis

I think the signing of Revis will have more of an impact on Boldin's numbers. Derrick Mason should get more targets and Housh will get a few that normally would have gone to clayton. Heap and Rice should catch some passes as well. Falco should still put up the numbers he would have whether Revis is there or not.

So I vote NEITHER.

Best CB in the game or a new to the team WR3/4...:landslide:
:goodposting: Doesn't matter if Housh played in the same type of offense before, Revis has already played in this defense on this team. Also, comparing the impact of a pro-bowl/AFC defensive player of the year to a non-starting WR is silly. Housh may end up putting up some stats, but as of now, no comparison at all.
