The Javon Ringer lottery ticket (1 Viewer)

In the first survivor league draft I picked Javon Ringer at 11.07. If an ordinary backup RB is a penny stock, I have to think Ringer trades higher at the moment. With CJ still missing, Ringer has the #1 job on a team that perennially produces a top 5 RB.

Now, I don't equate Ringer's talent with CJ's, but I have heard nothing that indicates Ringer won't be at least adequate, if not an above-average starter while he has the #1 job. He should also see 20 carries a game.

I liked him a little more with the format of the survivor leagues. Only needing him for the first five weeks could be a positive, because even if CJ signs soon, he will still need a little time to get back into game shape and learn the offense. Ringer could see an increased workload during the first five weeks.

For a 16 week league, Ringer remains an intriguing lottery ticket and his value should only trend up until CJ actually signs.

Where do you see Ringer going now?

I had been trying to trade Ringer to the CJ owner for Pierre Thomas (I have Ingram), but he kept ignoring it so now I'm going to sit on Ringer for a while and see what happens. I haven't thought about offering him up to another team but if it gets closer to regular season and CJ hasn't signed, I may see if there's a market price for him. A low end WR2 with upside would be awesome, but we'll see.
