I didn't even realize that was Roddy Piper...holy crap...MANIACI expected it not to be that funny. I wasn't disappointed. Completely overshadowed by the awesomeness of a Roddy Piper guest role on It's Always Sunny.
I can only hope you were contractually obligated to pimp this mess.Do yourself a favor and watch The League on FX. It's a new show about a bunch of friends in a fantasy football league.I know this thread is misplaced, but i want to get the word out to as many people as possible.
The show did struggle, but the blatant vulgarity was awesome.
good stuffThe show did struggle, but the blatant vulgarity was awesome.I enjoyed the 'Happy Birthday' song.
Actually I think it was 8. And they noted that there were two out of town owners on "auto draft" and one on the phone.IDrinkyourMilkshake said:So the show features 5 guys but their draft board had 7 owners on it.![]()
I think they mentioned a couple of guys were drafting online or calling etc..IDrinkyourMilkshake said:So the show features 5 guys but their draft board had 7 owners on it.![]()
I agree.. I thought the show was okay but this song was pretty funny....nittanylion said:footballnerd said:The show did struggle, but the blatant vulgarity was awesome.I enjoyed the 'Happy Birthday' song.
It's unfair to compare any show to the television excellence of Sunny. Anybody who has not seen that show is MISSING OUT in a huge way.....can't believe I hadn't heard of it until about a year ago. Am now caught up thanks to Blockbuster Video.Seriously, watch it. Best thing on TV (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)I didn't even realize that was Roddy Piper...holy crap...MANIACI expected it not to be that funny. I wasn't disappointed. I thought the show was awful, but the song made me laugh.nittanylion said:footballnerd said:The show did struggle, but the blatant vulgarity was awesome.I enjoyed the 'Happy Birthday' song.
Speak for yourself, pal.Haha, that guy picked Forte, he's screwed!
At first I thought it was a six team league and that is weak...then they mentioned the others on auto-draft but I still couldn't figure out how many teams. You know it's teevee because their wives look like models. I only laughed during the birthday song, the rest was pretty much all bits from commercials. I'll give it another shot, but it's looking 'doubtful'...get it?!
This show (as it is) would never be shown on network TV. Too rude/rough. Fortunately those items only make me want to watchI'm going to get some guys together and craft a drinking game based on the number of nether region references. My wife was like, "Is that really all you guys ever talk about"?
I think the fact that this show is on FX will give it a longer run. I agree that if it was on network TV then it would only last a few episodes. But the cable guys know it takes longer for their shows to gather momentum.

There's 8 teams. You can tell by the pick #s on the board. The end of round 6 is the 48th pick. There are SEVEN teams in the show's fantasy football league.
The 8th slot is left blank on the draft board. There's 8 teams. You can tell by the pick #s on the board. The end of round 6 is the 48th pick. There are SEVEN teams in the show's fantasy football league.
Then the show made a mistake.I dvr'd the show. When the camera pans you can clearly see there are only 7 teams drafting. There's 8 teams. You can tell by the pick #s on the board. The end of round 6 is the 48th pick. There are SEVEN teams in the show's fantasy football league.
He is who he is, leave it alone. Once the guy ripped on the entire fantasy football world for even considering "Strength of Schedule " and called them all losers I kind of "checked out" of caring what he thought.I jumped into this one cause I find pimping a lame sitcom in this thread to be very very lame. You "joke" a lot. When they started the draft and were waiting for the main character they said 'two guys are on auto draft' and thought he said two were on the phone...I was assuming they had someone else floating around to make it a 10 team.7 team league is pretty freaking weak, though.Taco and his Happy Birthday song was pretty funny, even though a bit predictable. It felt a bit extreme, like the lawyers switching first rounders while working the plea bargain for the criminal.I had assumed it would be more like the movie Office Space with dudes in cubicles spending all day on FF. Given that it was probably the pilot, they always try to jam as much as they can, so maybe future episodes will slow down a bit and expand more on the characters. So the show features 5 guys but their draft board had 7 owners on it.![]()
My point was that you consider SOS too much, but continue to play the victim if it serves your purpose, Reverend Sharpton.Once the guy ripped on the entire fantasy football world for even considering "Strength of Schedule "...
C'mon guys let it go.
