The Man Who Killed Osama Bin Laden (1 Viewer)

avoiding injuries

Anyone see the first part tonight? Pretty interesting. I'm not sure I agree with what he's doing as it seems like he may be breaking some code of the SEALS, but there's no denying that this guy is impressive.

Part 2 is tomorrow.

I've heard talk about how it violates a SEAL "code," and I have no idea about that. It seems strange to me though that he's allowed to divulge details about an operation like this. Is he breaking any agreements in that sense? I'm pretty sure they have to sign/agree to not do stuff like this, no? Every SEAL book that gets written has to get approval from someone I thought.

That's the way its supposed to be.

He is going directly against this.

Yeah, I saw some legal guys on CNN the other night saying that he could be charged for this, as he is likely breaking the law. They also said it was stupid because he's putting himself at risk, and possibly his family at risk. One of the guys on Anderson Cooper said, "I wouldn't want to be in the same room as him."

"There is no I in team."

This is really the definitive definition of that cliché. The author of No Easy Day took so much heat for his accounts of what happened that night, but he never approached the story in a manner where he was the star. The team was the star, something they have been doing since the creation of the SEALs.

Getting the kill shot on Bin Laden is really a small part of the big picture, in the end who killed him is irrelevant.

Did Marcus Luttrell go against it or was that one okay?
