The Manning to Tyree play the greatest in Super Bowl (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for a high resolution photo of "The Catch II" Does anyone have a link to it?
:excited: Please stop with this madness. It was a lucky ### catch. A great catch, amazing in fact, but luck had a lot to do with it.
Sour grapes, dude.
Why am I sour? Im happy he caught it. Im just realistic. Im also not in the new school thing that everything has to be the greatest of alllll tiiiiiiime!!!! I swear to God people today have the shortest memories of all time!
Dude, honestly, it was one of the greatest of all time. And that not only comes from Giants fans and footballguy posters either....listen to the experts, ex-pros, coaches.....everyone is saying it. Open your eyes.
Yes it was one of the greatest catches in the SB of all time. I never said that. It just isn't the best ever. I've admitted that it was an amazing catch, an insane catch, and that Eli escaping was amazing what more do you want? Geez. Unless I follow the herd, I get lambasted huh?

There are 2 mindsets here.

1) Most incredible play

2) Most significant play

Incredible plays would be Swann's ballet catch....Hester's return etc.

Most significant plays would be incredible efforts in critical game situations.

Riggins maulling over the wimpy "killer bees" on the critical 4th and 1 to win the game for the Skins.

Steve McNair evading the sack/shedding would be tacklers to complete a 4th and long pass deep in the 4th quarter (only to come up 1 yd short a few seconds later)

And then there was the Manning/Tyree play. Not only were 2 individual efforts amazing (Manning somehow getting out of the sack and Tyree with the rediculous catch. But it was 3rd and long with game on the line late 4th quarter.

I think Manning/Tyree is greatest ever since it combines so many elements.

My bad....I thought you were strictly basing it on Super Bowls.....now I agree with you. I agree with the skill Toomer needed for that catch AND his catch against Green Bay. It's really funny that David Tyree is the one who made that catch....he is assured celebrity status in this city now. Kind of like Endy Chavez (Mets) when he made that catch in 2006.

As an outsider (not a fan of the Pats or Giants), I must say that if it's not THE best play ever in Super Bowl history, itmost certainly should be in the top 2 or 3. That was amazing. To watch Eli miraculously avoid the sack, air it out, andfor Tyree to jump up with that many defenders there and "catch" it and hold it against his helmet, and not drop it when hehits the ground... WOW
:lmao:
most people wont even remember it a couple years from now

I've never witnessed a play that made me jump up in disbelief and yell in amazement.... "Did that just happen?". David Tyrre...who would have thunk it?! Amazing....best Super Bowl Play ever for me.
Devin Hester's KO return for a TD to start the game last year for the Bears against the Colts did just that for me. It was unbelievable. Although I wouldn't say its the best play in Superbowl history, it should be considered a finalist.
best play in super bowl history? not even close to top 10. my best chicago bears memory? yes
I already admitted its not the best play in SB history, but I was responding to Neo's statement about having me jump up and say "Did that just happen?".
