Sticking with Santos. KC will have scoring chances...*shrug*Same decision, don't know what to do. I'm leaning Boswell but I'm really torn here.Debating between Santos and Boswell too. Have Santos but Boswell's production over the past five weeks has me reconsidering. Probably will make a gut decision at the last minute.
Anyone concerned about Denver's defense limiting FG attempts?
BobbyLayne said:Debating McManus or Catanzaro. Thinking the Broncos have more FGAs but don't feel great about either.
Had Hauschka most of the year and dropped him for Prater. Hoping to get him back but if I cant I'll either roll with Prater or go for Myers, Barth, or another ww option. McManus and Santos are already rostered in my league. The Prater experiment is failing. Those on this train...are you sticking to the end or looking at options?
For me, looking at the following:
Santos home vs. CLE
McManus home vs. CIN
Myers @ NO
Barth vs. Bears
Know its all a crapshoot and sure if I drop Prater, he'll kick 5 FGs against the Niners. What say ye?
Thank God I held here...was off (only 4 field goals). Won my league by 4 points in part due to the kicker differential (he had Boswell). Hope others held serve as well with similar results! The Prater experiment is failing. Those on this train...are you sticking to the end or looking at options?

Suspended K Josh Brown's one-game ban resulted from a domestic violence charge in 2015.
Brown was arrested in May of 2015 for fourth-degree domestic violence. He reportedly "quarreled" with the alleged victim and "grabbed her wrist" as she was picking up a phone. A police report stated the woman had "redness" on the wrist, "and a small cut, possibly from a fingernail." Said Brown in a statement, "While I do not agree with the suspension, I will accept it. I have exhausted the appeals process and have no other options along those lines."

Eagles K Caleb Sturgis will miss Thursday's preseason game after suffering a concussion in warmups.
Sturgis wasn't wearing a helmet and got blindsided by a ball. It's noteworthy because Sturgis is battling Cody Parkey for the starting job. His injury could decide the competition.

Texans K Nick Novak is in the NFL's concussion protocol.
This is our second kicker concussion of the preseason after Eagles K Caleb Sturgis suffered one when a football hit him in the head during pregame warmups on Thursday night. Camp leg "Ka'imi Fairbairn" (quad) is also banged up.

Also sounds like they plan to go no huddle and play fast more this year. For those looking at bargain basement guys that will likely be on the board the last round, I like Matt Prater. Long foot + dome team and with Megatron no longer there as a RZ threat I see more FG attempts. Still no running game to speak of so not much going for it on 4th & short once inside the 40.
2b. Great defense and average offense that doesn't commit turnovers. Walsh was top 5 last year, and this year he kicks in a dome 10 times, and has December games in Dallas and Jacksonville. I think Bradford = Bridgewater.I have three guidelines for drafting a kicker, in this order:
1. Dome kicker
2. High Powered Offense
3. Broncos kicker
Cairo Santos in the last round = free $SoBeDad said:2b. Great defense and average offense that doesn't commit turnovers. Walsh was top 5 last year, and this year he kicks in a dome 10 times, and has December games in Dallas and Jacksonville. I think Bradford = Bridgewater.
Ha sounds like no one right now.Who has the K job in Chicago now?
Mike Nugent - a team that might go places. Only 81% FG success over the last 4 years - 5th worse among regulars. (source: Fantasy Football Index)Rams should pick up Gould.

I'm still ticked about that tie with Carolina.
Saints released K Kai Forbath.
The Saints are going with UDFA Wil Lutz. Forbath beat Connor Barth in a summer competition, but evidently didn't convince the coaching staff he deserved to keep his job. Lutz is coming from small-school Georgia State, so it's definitely a gamble for a team that can never seem to settle on a kicker.

Am I missing something here? Looks like he was 2/3 with FGs of 21 yds and 39 yds.I had no idea what the Saints were doing but I took a look at Lutz's work in Baltimore during the PS and things are looking up from my POV. He has a big leg.
Consider it a gateway post. Sure, just an innocent single post about Prater, next thing you know you're Mike Herman analyzing spin trajectories on left hash mark kicks from 41-45 yards during week 14-16 road games.Wait, did I just post about kickers?![]()
