The *Official* Matt Leinart "whose your daddy" thread (1 Viewer)

Hairy Snowman

Footballguy
Just thought I would open a thread for when Leinart either gets smacked up like a ##### or when he mans up and shows the Bears who has the best arm since Marino.

My prediction - pain!  :football:

Go Bears!

Such a bold prediction, Snowman. Way to go out on a limb. I am predicting the sun comes up tomorrow morning.

This is probably the most excited I've been for a MNF this season so far. Gonna be really interesting to see how Leinart fares against the best team in the NFL (and perhaps best defense IN HISTORY) and in front of a national audience.

I'm pulling for him. I think the kid's gritty and a gamer, and he could surprise.

Agreed, if Fitz was playing in this game, I would pick this to be one of those trap games, but the Bears should win tonight. Also, the Bears will not go undefeted, so they can for get about that, somebody will step up and bump them off, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY(MONDAY)

I also think he's a gritty gamer, but tonight, Monday, October 16, 2006, holy #### that was a lot of commas, he will go down. Lance Briggs, the baddest mofo in the league, will kick his ###. Mark it down.

Actually, there should have been one more. After the ####. ;)

I actually just tipped my hand in another thread.Hard to say what is going on in the Cardinals camp. I think Mr Leinart is likely going to see things he has never seen before as far as defensive coverages go. I do not think he will have film to prepare for the packages the Bears defense is going to bring in for this game. Ergo - most likely he takes his lumps. But this is a game where legends could be born, one way or another. Should be a good one!

:goodposting: My thoughts exactly.

In the sense that I would like to see a good game, I just wish he had a better offensive line to go against the Bears front 4. If he is going to do it, he's going to do it pretty much on his own.I'm way excited for this game - In fact, I think everyone in Chicago is.

Leinart took a step forward last week. This week could be 2 steps back. Too much too soon for any rookie QB. I believe more in the Rivers type QB education obviously.

I actually feel bad for the kid with cancer. He is going to watch his favorite player get smashed.

PAGING MR HUCKS.............MR. L HUCKS....MR. HUCKS please pick up the thread and give us the BOLD prediction on your BOY.

I predict Leinart throws for around 200 yards (maybe just over if the Cards get down early), but NO LESS than 2 picks and 2 fumbles, and 5 sacks.

I would like to see him do well too but...T. Harris will be leading the early, unofficial, official defensive player of the year voting after tonight. The Cardinals...most teams in the NFL...have no answer for him on the interior line. James is going to be busy tonight in pass protection but it will not matter. Brown, Anderson, Briggs and Urlacher are in for stat rich lines tonight. I really wish Fitz was playing, as it would make this game a little more interesting, but I think Leinart has his work cut out for him tonight.

I've been trying to inform you knuckleheads about this kid for about 9 months now...perhaps next time you'll listen.

Pac10 = Conference of Champions

You may have known about him, but you didn't really know.Pac10 = Conference of Champions
Yeah - come over to the SEC.By the way, if the INT stands Leinart = 1 Bears Defense = 1. Let the chaos begin, the Bears now know what Leinart wants to do. Lets see how the adjustments work out.

Leinart = the media's new Favre soonyou know it's only a matter of time
Is he the new Favre or the next Peyton Manning?Favre = winner, leader, tough as nails, a guy I could drink a beer withPeyton = "first family of football", pretty boy, can't get the job doneAs much as I dislike the PAC-10, I'm thinking you're right, he's more "Favre-esque", but I'm not sure.

8 of 9, 72 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs

I'd hate to see his stats if Chicago's D wasn't owning the rookie.

I see him as more of a Jeter but without the New York bias.

wow

As I was saying before this game, if Leinart looks bad, he's a rookie against the best D in the NFL.

If he plays well, he's the "second coming"

Damn. Leinart's having waaaaaaaaay too good of a game. I was hoping he'd get spanked by the Bears and I could trade for him in my main league. Value will be way too high now.
