Cool...keep the misinformation flowing.I drafted Vick as the 6th QB off the board and he finished 4th in the league on a ppg basis and 7th overall (1/25 and 4). That game he missed didn't hurt as McCown hung a 25 spot in his absence. So my McCown/Vick combo finished 3rd overall in the league, 6 points behind Brady and 20 behind Palmer.AgreedI have been saying this for a couple of years. Let Vick play like a top 10 fantasy QB consistently - then I will take a chance on him.Michael Vick
This dude just isn't a good FANTASY football player yet he always goes early. I don't get it but someone will reach again next year. You guys go right ahead I'll stick with the Jake Delhomme's of the world.![]()
I said Palmer earlier but I think a better answer is that I will not draft any QB that is rated in the top 10 in preseason. My starting QB this year finished as the number 7 overall QB. In 10 of my 14 games I played a guy I picked up on waivers (guys like Harrington, McNown, Warner, and Brunell). In the other weeks I started guys I drafted after the 10th round. There are just so many decent QBs that anyone in the preseason consensus top 10 just isn't worth it.Cool...keep the misinformation flowing.I drafted Vick as the 6th QB off the board and he finished 4th in the league on a ppg basis and 7th overall (1/25 and 4). By the way, Vick finished 10th overall and 8th on a ppg basis in the FBG scoring system.
If Gonzo had been Gates I'd bet your opinion would have turned out different.Gonzo - I really have learned my lesson to not bother drafting a TE in a single-digit numbered round.

I think Dungy (and Lovie Smith, and all the other coaches who"rested" their players) learned his leasson. If they are in the same situation, I doubt he sits them anymore. As a Colts homer, I am sad to say I will not roster Peyton Manning. I have had him for years, but my issue is that with him going in the 1st 2 rounds, he will usually lead me to the playoffs, but come playoff time, he has killed me the last 2 seasons with the resting in weeks 16&17.
Only way this changes is if I see Jacksonville take a step forward. Then I think the Colts will be in more of a dog fight for the division. Otherwise, I'll take a pass.
Both had unhealthy amounts of carries the last two years but I still feel more comfortable keeping Alexander in the top 5 than James. Something about James never breaking a run of over 20 yards bothers me, maybe it shouldn't, but it does.Do you feel the same about Shaun Alexander? Edge isn't much older. I'm not saying Edge is guaranteed to repeat his 2005 performance, but IF he remains in Indy, he will still be a healthy RB on one of the few teams that still use one back 95% of the time.Edge James. I don't think he can come close to repeating what he did in '05.
Randy Moss--mere frustration from this year.Pick *ONE* guy at any position that you don't see yourself having on your REDRAFT squad next season. Your can list whatever reason you want for not getting him (will go too soon, is too old, injury risk, will lose touches, poor coaching, etc.).
(However, saying you won't have LT because you draft in the 10 slot really is not what I'm looking for here . . .)
I'm still thinking who I would select.

I dont think you guys could be more off on this. Moss will likely be a 3rd round pick. That's 3rd round. Last year in an iinjury riddled and "off" year the guy had 1000+ and 8 Tds. That was a BAD year for Moss. I think much like 3 years ago, Moss will be one of the best values you can find in the 1st 3 rounds. My more obvious choice:
Randy Moss. I am not sure he is an elite WR anymore, but he is sure to be one of the top 5 WR off the board.
Not so obvious: I am definately avoiding Colts next year. I have a feeling things are going to go well for them next year after the disasterous end to their perfect season.
Anyone that plays for Baltimore.Anybody that plays for New Orleans.

dittoTony Gonzalez :X
*yet, he could be a steal if he slips far enough...I highly doubt it though
Have you guys even looked at his stats from last year? I don't know about your leagues, but in mine he finished as the #6 QB. In 2004 he was #12. 2003 was his injury year but in 2002 he was #2. I can't believe the disrespect he gets as a fantasy QB. The guy puts up great rushing numbers and he is improving as a passer. He's no Peyton Manning, but he's a starting fantasy QB.I have been saying this for a couple of years. You must have some crazy scoring system. Mine is 4pt/pass TD, 6pt/rush TD, -2/int or fumble, 2pt/20 yds rush. I think that is pretty standard and he finished 14th with 201 points this year and 18th last year. Of course if you give 6pt/pass TD than he would be better with all of those TDs he throwsHave you guys even looked at his stats from last year? I am going to agree with those who said ##### McSuckister. He has killed my team two years in a row. Won't ever happen again. He never stays healthy. He is Fred Taylor without the upside.
In 90% of scoring systems he finished top 10 in 2005.Your the one using a crazy scoring system if he was out of the top 10, FBG's scoring system and almost every other standard scoring system he was top 10.You must have some crazy scoring system. Good in a lot of my drafts people passed him & I got him in the 6th round or later for good value. The usual; Michael Vick.
Vick is a tough guy to analyze on the 2005 season. Some feel he was a dud while others think he was a bit of a steal. As an example, in one of my leagues with all TD = 6 pts, he went at 6.07. But he was the #6 QB off the board and ended the year ranked 8th (in our scoring system). With 7 of the 8 guys ranked ahead of him drafted after him, I'm not sure how valuable he actually was.He certainly is a risky play from week to week, and if you group him with a bunch of other QB that you can wait on to get, he probably won't really hurt or help your team all that much. But if you load up on other RB and WR (or a stud TE), he could well be good enough to win your league (or at least be a playoff team). But a lot of QB fall into that category.Good in a lot of my drafts people passed him & I got him in the 6th round or later for good value. The usual; Michael Vick.
T.Barber - at his age I will not take a chance on this guy in the 1st round. He WILL be drafted in the 1st round this year. Heck he was last year in most of my leagues.
have to agree with Vick - someone always takes him WAAAY too early.
I'm with you on that.Ashley Lelie![]()
