So now that Tim is under 10,000 posts to go for 100,000, what day do you think the momentus is event will happen?

I think he stops at 99,999 and disappears forever.

As far as the date, there is no doubt it will be in 2016 given the election year. I predict the 99,999 post will occur within 7 days of Hillary Clinton either being indicted or the first Trump/Clinton debate.

I would be well over 100k had I not taken a couple of sabbaticals. I'm less prolific these days.

That's the thing. The guy is closing in on 100,000 posts in an unbelievably short period of time, and it's not like he pads his count with lots of smilie-only posts. He wrote a literal book in this forum. We're witnessing history being made right before our eyes.

 
I have a lot of free time in various intervals in my job, and I like good conversation. People seem so interested in this, but I never really thought about it too much.

So far, the conversation has been fun around here. Some people don't like me, and can be unpleasant, but most are fine. If it ever gets overly boring I'll probably find something else to do.

Orson Scott Card in Ender's Game predicted internet discussion forums some two decades before they came about, which was pretty visionary on his part, but he also predicted that a prolific person like me with strong opinions would end up being President of the Earth. That part hasn't happened. :kicksrock:

Tim has averaged around 66 posts per day for his career..so the historic event should take place right around St. Pattys Day. Being an election year it could be pushed up to around Valentines Day.

 
If you take into consideration length of posts versus the average post from other FBG's he is easily over a million now.

No i"ve thought about it, and one reason I post so much is probably the same reason a lot of women used to knit while watching TV or listening to the radio. Right now I am watching TV with my wife, and I have a laptop open by my chair. Unlike my wife (and nearly everyone else I know) I am unable to simply sit there and watch TV. I have to be doing something with my hands. It's the same at work. It's the same in my car: nearly every day of the week, I am sitting around waiting on people for appointments. And I can't just sit there; I get bored. So I type on my phone. And I get obsessed with discussion and debate. 

I certainly didn't intend to dominate the amount of posts here. If you'll notice the vast majority of my posts have nothing to do with my personal life- I enjoy talking politics, art, culture, sports. Myself, not so much. Even this topic bores me.

Instead of posting so much, you could always catalog your Hillary memorabilia collection. That should take a couple of months.
