Not sure what the Steelers quarterback has to do with the Giants running back.I think Roethlisberger bounces back and Ward returns to form.1100 yards and 8 TDs.

any RB that has an opportunity to get 20 touches in a game is worth a "pickup", period.I think it was an attempt at a joke. I'm actually debating if Ward is worth the pickup. With no QB, he doesn't look to do much IMO.
No, it all depends on the opportunity cost to get him. If you're just in a league where you can pickup and drop with no penalty, sure (depending on who you have to drop). If you're in a league where you have to spend in-season bidding $, or real salary cap/contract years, you might think a little harder about it.Who are you giving up to get him? Fom what I read in a few leagues so far going around $50 in a $500 max 10%For people here who have to bid on FAs -- what percentage of your yearly allotment is he going for in your league?
i'm bidding 100 out of 500, or 20%. he put up good numbers filling in, if he can even put up ONE game of similar numbers again, that's worth the pickup to me.Fom what I read in a few leagues so far going around $50 in a $500 max 10%For people here who have to bid on FAs -- what percentage of your yearly allotment is he going for in your league?
On of my leagues he is just hit 44%. I bailed out at 13%.Fom what I read in a few leagues so far going around $50 in a $500 max 10%For people here who have to bid on FAs -- what percentage of your yearly allotment is he going for in your league?
Well said. For me, it comes down to the following factors:1. Who will you have to drop to pick up Ward?2. How many games do you believe Ward will start?3. What will his schedule be for those games?4. Is there a chance you can wait and get a better player on the WW later (this is for leagues that have WW orders). In leagues with tight roster limits, No. 1 could remove Ward from consideration. In other leagues, it could be 2 and 3. If Ward only starts 3 games and two of them are against good defenses, how valuable will he be? Those are the three factors I'm pondering with him in my league. I would like to pick him up but I'm not sure I want to drop a player whose upside I like (in this case Leon Washington) for someone who may only start 2-3 games and could struggle in those games. So while it is nice to find a starting RB on the WW it isn't always a slam dunk to pick him up.No, it all depends on the opportunity cost to get him. 44% is close to what I think he'll go for in my league. Very deep league and we start 3 RBs so they are at a premium. On of my leagues he is just hit 44%. Yes... Ward is very injury prone... Tiki admitted this on the Sunday Night show... there is no doubt that if takes the full load for more than 3 games; he will be banged up. Again; you have to remember, the only reason Ward is the #2 is because the real #2 is the emergency FB.Honestly... if both are open, go for Bradshaw.... thats the sneaky pick. He had a great YPC during pre-season.He went for 30 in my league where we start with 100.
Anyone think there is a chance that Bradshaw gets a shot. As a Giant fan I would like to say I know the answer to this but I dont. I know he was decent in college and he already starts on the punt team. Any insight. I picked him up for a buck
plus its the 1st week.... people have $$ to burn.Three leagues, the blind bids went for 38%, 40%, and 57% of the total allotment. Of course someone else dropped 21% on Shaun McDonald...
How much did you spend on him, and out of what budget? Thanks...All RB's are injury prone. Peroid.
He looked very fluid and comfortable in that offense. Dare I say he starts for 5 weeks and if he really produces Jacobs will have a hard time getting the full load back? I was nefer a jacobs believer to begin with.
I picked Ward up in multiple dynasty leagues with 22 man rosters. So there is nothing but scraps out there. I blew my wad on him. He is worth the risk in that offense. If I can get 10-16 points out of him a week I will be thrilled.
Oh and Eli will maybe miss one week with a sprained shoulder. I really feel Ward will be a very sneaky and decent PPR back. As a RB3/Flex player he might be golden for 5-6 weeks.
MCL sprains can take a while last time I checked when your 260 pounds.
Small no power...fumbles a ton.the shark move is Ahmad Bradshaw...
I blew 100 out of 100. All in 12 team 22 roster spot dynasty leagues. There is very slim pickings and when I see a golden opportunity to get a player that can make a good impact I don't hesitate to spend what is needed. He will be uised as a 3rd RB at the lfex psotion for as long at it lasts which I estimate 5-6 weeks and maybe more. How much did you spend on him, and out of what budget? Did the same exact thing for Colston last season.
Wow, pretty pricey. What does the champion typically take home in your league? He went for $81 in our league tonight. Real money. If no bidding wars, then all FA pickups are $10. So he didn't go cheap. BJ owner not happy he was driven up![]()
I'm not sure I'd be proud of the competition level in dynasty leagues where BOTH James and Jacoby are still available.I LOVE Ward!!! Thanks to him, I was able to get James Jones off the waivers in 6 dynasty leagues this week, and Jacoby Jones in another 2 leagues.![]()

What Tiki says should immediately go down the drain. He has lost all credibility IMO.Yes... Ward is very injury prone... Some Dynasty leagues hold there rookie drafts right after the real NFL draft. Waivers are locked after the rookie draft till after the first week of the season. So reserve judgement if you don't know the format of the league.thecardiackid said:I'm not sure I'd be proud of the competition level in dynasty leagues where BOTH James and Jacoby are still available.I LOVE Ward!!! Unless they're ~ 16 roster slots.
Now that the Giants have brought in a real FB, I smell a RBBC @ best here - potentially with unproven QB play leading the way for a while. I'd save my $ in dynasty leagues, but good luck w/ Ward anyway.
No, the shark move is to have picked him up during the FCFS period before Jacobs got hurt instead of having to bid on him, or depend on your league waiver priority after Jacobs got hurt.corpcow said:exactly. shark move is to wait right?plus its the 1st week.... people have $$ to burn.Three leagues, the blind bids went for 38%, 40%, and 57% of the total allotment.
