Jerry does have the rings but he is partially responsible for hiring such a moronic head coach. The direct problem as I see now is a terrible head coach and terrible offensive coordinator play calling in Jason Garret. I am personally hoping they keep losing so they can cane Wade and company and start over with someone semi-competent.
Jason Garrett is actually alot better than people give him credit for. During the Bears game there were four instances in the game that Romo had time in the pocket, and missed the open reciever with errant passes. These 4 plays cost the Cowboys 21 points. So if the Cowboys had converted on these and scored 38 I doubt Garrett recieves the needless criticism. Love how everyone is suddenly so dialed into Dallas and an expert on why their struggling.
Wrong. If receivers are dropping passes, then that's all the more reason to use a solid run game, right? Garrett's in love with the pass, run be damned. The only comparable play-caller is Andy Reid, but he at least has the excuse of having a non-elite running game.
I agree that Garrett should run more but if the run is not working then why try to fit a square peg into a round hole? Also Garrett should not be faulted
for instance with Witten out he could not run his double TE package on a key 3rd down so he calls for a 3 wide and has Choice run a flare. A brillant playcall because Briggs has to cover flats and has a long distance to cover. Romo throws behind Choice and the Cowboys are forced to kick a FG which they miss. If Romo hits Choice in stride its a td or even if throws a catchable ball its a first. Look at this week, Houston is great at stopping the run and their pass defense is putrid. What would you do? Do you try to pound the ball feebly or do you shred their pass coverage, hell McNabb and his UFL grade recievers got 400+ recieving yards.
