If anyone gets a chance to watch NFL Total Access at 10pm et, you'll see Chad Johnson and Deangelo Hall talking a ton of trash to each other for about 20 minutes on who will get burned when they face each other week 8, it's hilarious! Who do you guys think will win that battle.. My money's on C.J.

Deangelo tends to "cover" guys in so much as he watches them catch the ball and then tackles them.

My money is also on CJ

DH will shut CJ down ....4 catches, 58 yards.
Agreed.CJ is very overrated. 5, 10, 9, 9 tds the last 4 years. Ehhh.

Last 5 games of 05, Housh had 5 tds, CJ had 3. Housh might be the better big play WR. If CJ didn't dance and run his yap, no one would know who he is.

CJ is a flashy D-JAX.

I wouldn't go nearly that far. Chad is unquestionably a top ten WR, but I do think all of his self-promotion gives him more notoriety than he deserves.

Hall is overrated. I'm taking CJ easily. So long as he has his QB back and recovered. I remember the last time Hall went up against a big time WR on primetime (TO) and all we kept hearing about was how fantastic job Hall did as TO burnt him play after play and McNabb underthrew and flat missed pass after pass after pass. Hall should send McNabb a very nice gift for handing him the title of a "shut down" CB.

Hall actually talked about that TO match up during the show. He's hanging his hat on the fact that TO had no grabs at all in the second half of the game.. How he views that as a good job i don't know when TO racked up over 100yds on him in the first half of the game... Maybe Coach Mora told him not to worry about underneath stuff, just don't give up anything over the top or something.. i don't know..

Whats funny is that his"shut down" performance coincided perfectly well with McNabbs injury and thus inability to delivery anthing remotly catchable past 10 yds. :lmao:

Hall is one of the best young corners in the game, but with the rules enforced and all, I really don't see him "shutting CJ down". Unless 100 yards is shuttting him down.

Yeah but it's still a tough call though, I've had some excellent recievers on my team that just didn't do anything when they faced him. I started galloway last year when he faced hall, and got me zero. And yes he played all game..

Obviously you just watch CJs dance routine. Palmer admits he forces it to CJ when he shouldn't. As Housh/Henry get better, CJ will continue to put up solid, but not great numbers. Housh had far more big plays then CJ in the last 5 games. But then again, you know that, because you watch football.

CJ has never had a good as year as Moss, Harrison, Smith, Fitz, TO, Holt. Even guys like Ward/Walker/Wayne has had better career years then CJ. I'm not saying all those guys are better, I'm saying CJ doesn't have the elite WR upside. Look at TO, 16, 14, 14, 13, 13 TDs. Big yardage. Elite WR. Last year in performance scoring CJ wasn't even a top 5 WR. Unless you're in a league where dancing gets you bonus points, he's overrated.

CJ will get you 1200-1300 yards, 8-9 TDs. He'll never sniff 12+ TDs. CJ is the most overrated WR in the league. He's one year younger then Moss, and only 65 less TDs. Um yeh.

Edit: Last 2 years, he's been 8th and 10th in FF points per game. And with people ranking him in the top 3, yes he's overrated.

Chad has led the AFC in yards for the past 3 years, the NFL doesn't happen for your little fantasy league purposes, and they weren't smack talking about who will give gang wars the most fantasy points...

CJ is the man and thats all that matters... didnt he lead the AFC in catches as well last year? he sure did.

I was watching and they started to trash talk and the next thing I know is I fell asleep.

I found it pretty boring.

In the NFL last year he was 3rd in Rec Yds, 5th in Receptions, and 9th in TD's. Yeah Housh did alot more toward the end of the year, that's just because teams were covering CJ more.

I thought it was painful to watch. Darren Horton let it drag on too long. CJ was talking nonsense. Hall was bragging about his speed. Both good players but the way they talked about their talents you'd have thought it was Rice vs. Deion in their prime.

Look at all 16 games last year. Nobody could cover me.
12/04 @PIT 5 54 0
And...the very next week at home he went 2 for 22 and no td's against a no name DB in Leigh Bodden.

I think Chad needs to look at all 16 games last year.

And I like that if somebody doesn't lead the league in a stat, we go down to his conference and if he doesn't lead that it goes to his division, then to his team, then to guys witht he same last name. He didn't lead the league in anything and yet he'st he greatest ever. Santana Earmuffin Moss had more yards, and just as many TD's as Johnson did and he even had a washed up QB throwing to him.

But CJ did lead the league in coaches choked by their WR.

You can have Chad and his chatter. We're pretty happy with Hines and the Lombardi Trophy, thanks.

Why have gold gold when you could have Gold? ;)

The cool thing about Chad is that he's always going on and on about how great #85 is. I appreciate a guy who shows public appreciation for how amazing Antonio Gates is.

Wrong.....so if I don't like Chad, I'm automatically a steelers fan? What's the reasoning? And if I were a Steelers fan, I'd say I'd take Ward over CJ because something that Chad doesn't.....a SB ring. but I'm not so I won't. And no I wouldn't want Johnson on my team, he is talented, but he is on his way, no matter what you CJ lovers say, he is on his way to becoming the next TO. I shall call him.........Tutu (TO2)

*lol* So yardage the last 3 years pretty much ends the smack talking argument. Good post. :P I went with DH, and said CJ was overrated due to his self promotion. I used the example people have him as the top 1-2-3 WR in the league in fantasy, when he's never finished in the top 5 ffpts per game, and barely in the top 10.

So if "leading afc in yards" is all you got, then thanks for sharing. CJ is still overrated.

are you talking fantasy football or the actuall NFL??? because in real football he isnt. As I said earlier, he was 3rd in yds, 5th in receptions, and 9th in TD's. Not in the AFC, but the entire NFL. He puts up solid stats, and is an elite WR.
