I recently read an article talking about ticket prices, and specificaly tickets to the Super Bowl. It stated that Super Bowl tickets are selling for over $5000 on average. EACH TICKET!!!
While that might not be a shock to you, it was to me.
It also mentioned that the average ticket price is roughly $600-$900 before someone turns around and sells them for a profit.
So it got me thinking.
If I was to have the chance to buy a pair of Super Bowl tickets at cost (cardinals season ticket holder), what would I do. Would I sell the pair and make roughly $8500? Or would I value the chance to go to the "Big Game" enough to let go of that $8500, and spend $1500. Thats a swing of $10k!!!
And to even things a little. . .if you are one of the self proclaimed mega-bucks winners that 10k isnt a big number for, then this question is less relevant.
Other factors to consider?
Is your team playing in the game?
If you plan on waiting till your team is in the game to spend the money, could you afford those tickets in several more years when the tickets could be twice as much?
Just curious. . . .I really don't have an honest answer. But I will say this. . .
I would love to go to the game, but also love the TV version of games as well. . .I love the stats, the close ups, the instant replay, and slow motion.
Makes it a tough call. . . for me atleast
