I'm rooting hard for Cassadee. I was shocked to actually see her on the show. I know Hey Monday may not get a lot of recognition here, but they are very similar to Paramore except they never made it as big. I'm a fan.

Best:
Amanda - Was indifferent to her Adele cover until about halfway through. Then she really added some rock elements to it and caught my attention. Muy bueno.
Cody - It was a weak night overall but he was in the top half. Covering Queen is insanely difficult but he made it work well enough. He's hit and miss for me. One week I love him. Next week I can't stand the guy. He won me over this time.
Trevon - He has an amazing voice but I'm getting tired of him. Can't quite place my finger on what the problem is but I don't think he's come into his own. Not sure how or when he'll get more confidence but kid needs some swagger.
Nicholas - I'm ready for him to be done with this competition and start working on an album. Love his voice, his style, his look, his attitude, and everything about this guy. This wasn't his best performance but dammit he's just soooo good.
Cassidy - She's peaking at a great time. Probably the favorite to win it all at this point.
Worst:
Terry - Probably doesn't have the talent/personality to win it all but he's with the wrong coach. It's a square peg/round hole situation. Blake's song choices screw him weekly.
Melanie - My love for her has waned. I'd like to see some peaks in her performances. Slip some speed into her coffee. Sleepy and mellow is fine, but ALL the time? Boring.
Dez - He's an insult to the remaining singers. He's not that good looking. Really hoping the last of Christina's horses is taken to the glue factory.
Speaking of Christina, I've noticed she loves to criticize the contestants. Nothing wrong with that, as not everyone should have sunshine blown up their backside when they don't have a great performance. But she never turns the cynicism to her own. Cannot stand her lack of consistency.

Trevin has the best voice by far. Kid is a star. Just need to whip him into shape like they did with Carrie Underwood.

Love Nick. Like Adam said every song he chooses is one of my favorites and sung by legends but Nick somehow makes it his own.
Amanda and Casadee are a tier below him for me. Terry and Treyvon have great voices but they don't connect with the songs and/or missing that "it" factor that the girls have.
I'm actually enjoying X factor more this season.

It is good that there are only a couple of shows left. They are running out of 70s songs for Terry.

- Cassadee was the best last night with both of her songs.
- Nicholas "Over the Rainbow" was just super dope. He really dropped the ball with "September" though. Maybe "Reasons" would have been better for him. I think everyone pretty much did a lot better with their 2nd songs.

Agree on Nick. What he did on September was fine, but could have done a lot more. Trevin would crush "Reasons".I think Amanda was best overall. Casssaaddeee, Trevin and Terry were very good. Melanie just a little outclassed at this point.Melanie for sure goes home along with one of the guys. I'll guess Terry.

One interesting thing about Melanie, for me at least: Her voice might not be the best, by I am "entertained" by her production of the song much more than that overproduced crap that most other contestants let the shows producers do with their acts (other than Nickolas).For almost all of these guys, I'd rather just see them at a guitar, or a piano, or a microphone, and hear them sing, and see what their voice can do. All the background vocals and background music turns half the songs into bad Train or Nickelback songs. Terri is a great example. When it is just him belting it out, great. When he tries to make a big production with background vocals and music, I don't like it.
Melanie is great to listen to. I get to here her music, and see her personality, and be entertained by her, instead of knowing that half the production was put together buy some suit in the back of the building. I like that. And since she is the ONLY one that seems to be able to avoid this problem, I attribute it to her vision (and maybe Adam's).

Surprise you felt this way. She was the only one that I absolutely KNEW was going home. I thought the other one would have been either Trevin or Terry. Didn't think it would be Amanda. This is going to be a Cassadee vs Nicholas finale.

The song that Melanie and Nicholas did tonight -- "criminal" by Fiona Apple -- absolutely KILLED. Nick is so effing money. I can't state strongly enough how much he kicked ### on that song. I think I may have liked it better than the original. Dude is a serious rocker, singer, asskicker.

Melanie was actually my favorite from last night. Loved her two performances. Nicholas' Somewhere Over the Rainbow was spectacular. Amanda was good and I was surprised to see her go home. Terry needs to go home next. His stupid coach keeps him locked in his cover band act. Nicholas is my favorite by far but Cassadee will likely win. Those itunes sales are hard to ignore.
And I really, really, really despise Christina. She's so effing unlikeable. And can she just #### and judge a performer without showing off her singing abilities? I don't believe I've ever come across such an unlikeable television personality.

I agree. After hearing him do his part, I thought that was the song Nicholas should have been done in the competition round. Him behind the piano bringing that feeling was great. That intensity is what he's been lacking in his performances lately.

Despite my opinion of Terry, I have a feeling he may win it all. Every week he leads everyone else in iTunes voting. Dude must have a huge following. My choices would be Nicholas (distinct sound), Cassadee (easy on the eyes/ears) or Trevin (major chops, has made huge improvement).

That's not the info I've been hearing. I've heard that Cassadee has been leading. Maybe Terry is leading in a particular category, but not overall.

I know it is publicly available info, but when they announce the iTunes voting in the beginning of the show, they basically give it away. The only two they didn;t name as charting were Melanie and Amanda.

I know when I looked at the top ten yesterday, Terry was #2 overall, Cassadee had #3 & #6 and Nicholas was #4

I thought Amanda was by far the most talented of the bunch, but like all of these shows, that doesn't matter the most. I don't get what what everyone likes about Cassadeeeeee. She's sharp the entire time, and tends to shout. Cute though (although I thought Amanda was better there too).

Anyone buying Blake's excuse that he's giving Casadee country songs because of her voice? She certainly is suited for them, but I think it is at least partly a strategic move to get the country music fans' votes. NTTAWTT

Honestly, I don't understand why he feels the need to explain it. The results speak for themselves. She's been slaying the country songs (while also making them more pop) and they've been extremely popular on iTunes.

She is/was the lead singer of a pop/punk/rock band "Hey Monday" They were on the Warped tour one year and have opened for Fall Out Boy so they have some fans.

Haven't found who wrote the songs. Looks like the band broke up and she was touring solo before The Voice. She seemed to be the one constant member of the band and was sing their songs on her solo tour so best guess she helped in the writing.
