She is definitely different(the hair was rough IMO). I think she's just filler though, as were most of the contestants last night. I thought the girl in the red dress was solid and there was some decent eye candy but overall underwhelming.

That cuban chick was bonerriffic. Wow.

I think Shakira is better looking than Christina, but I like Christina's feedback better. I'd rather hear better feedback in a show like this than someone sitting there looking pretty. I liked Christina as a coach too, and I haven't seen Shakira coach yet, but overall so far I prefer Christina.

Yes. That dude is a badass. There is so much more talent on this show than Idol (which I was forced to watch this season because a guy the GF grew up with was on it (and finished 9th).

Adam's team is dominant.

The Voice gets more seasoned singers on it, because they don't have an age cutoff like Idol does. Idol's age eligibility is 15-28.

I haven't heard anything yet... not sure what I could say if I did either.

I do know Pat is back in Memphis which can't be a good sign. He and his wife invited the GF and I to hit a patio with them yesterday but we already had plans for another cookout. They frequently ship folks back and forth so it could be that he just had a while before his next appearance... or it could be that he got beat by Midas Whale and somehow wasn't stolen :(

No, certainly would not expect you to give up any inside info. On the bright side, there is a scenario where his trip out around Easter could have been to tape the round after the battle rounds and now he's back from that. Whatever happens, it will be great exposure for him.

That's what they announced last season. Too bad, as I'm liking Shakira and Usher moreso than the others. If anything, I'd rather Shakira stay and Xtina leave.

I thought the same thing. Cute dimples. Her style doesn't transfer well to battles since she can easily be overpowered by her opponent, which is exacty what happened.

I would think the show's producers dictate the order that folks go on stage in the battle round. Additionally, I would expect the producers to also have say in the matchups. I would be surprised if each coach is managing their own teams without heavy involvement from the suits running this show.

I caught that line as well, doing "what's best for all three". I think Shakira did it earlier when she picked the worse of the two knowing that the other would be saved. Sucks, I enjoyed listening to your buddy sing, and liked him much more than Midas Whale. They are charismatic though.

I still thought Usher was going to save him. Oh well.

Patrick was/is better than Midas Whale, imo. I thought he definitely won that battle round. It's sad he's gone already, as I think he is easily more talented/unique than the majority of the people that made it through. "It's like he gargles with broken glass," Blake commented.

Midas Whale is solid, and probalby deserving, but not at the expense of Patrick. Oh well, that's the nature of these shows. Lots of talented singers fall through the cracks at various stages.

Hey guys... yah pretty big bummer. Pat would appreciate the kind words. Not sure what's going on but Pat is talking about a Tour. I've not had a chance to sit down with him but if he gives me any insight that is safe to share I will do so.

I agree that Pat is/was a much better singer than midas whale even with the song choice being so heavily slanted to their style (Bluegrass Elvis...really?! )... C'est la vie. I still think pat is pretty stunned but he's got a lot going on so hopefully some opportunities arise out of this.

It was really unfortunate timing for him and the steal situation. I guess it would have been worth it for him to be stolen by Usher just to stick around, but I just can't see that pairing. Nice compliment from Shakira that they could not teach him anything. I think that is truest of Usher. Oh well, time to leverage the expanded fan base!
