These things I'm Convinced of (1 Viewer)

Jonathan Vilma really was just that darn good.

Having switched back to a 4-3, he's near the league lead in tackles.

Last year was not a fluke for Greg Jennings

Something about leading the league in receiving yards screams he's just good.

Santana Moss is not done.

Give a receiver a target and you feed him for a play. Give him a capable quarterback and you feed him for a career.

Larry Johnson is not done.

Ladainian Tomlinson is a top 3 Fantasy Running back.

Randy Moss will not be just fine without Tom Brady (fantasy talk)

Joey Galloway has nothing left in the tank.

When you're 37, the last thing you need is to tweak anything. When you're a 37 year old receiver and tweak your legs...

The Ravens should have fired Billick years ago.

Joe Flacco is way better than advertised.

Romeo Crennell will be on the proverbial hotseat, and eventually out of a job before next season starts.

I think he's a great coach, and his team isn't really performing, but that's part of the job.

Indy will not be just fine without Bob Sanders.

Tennesse, Jacksonville, and now *gulp* Houston with Steve Slaton?

The Titans are not going to be exposed sooner or later.

The Broncos are the new Colts, great offense, no defense.

It'll get ya to that borderline playoff level, even into the playoffs. And being the new colts means you'll own the Broncos in the playoffs.

Lane Kiffin wasn't given a fair chance, especially considering Marvin Lewis and Herm Edwards still have jobs.

The Chiefs should start a rebuilding project and get rid of anyone not named Johnson, Dorsey or Bowe.

Did I mention Tomlinson's not done as a top 3 running back?

Dallas has the the finesse and the toughness to win a superbowl. They have the play calling to lose a superbowl.

Those early calls about Jim Zorn were just plain wrong.

Kyle Orton has matured into a very good quarterback.

The Vikings should fire someone for not looking into a qb in the offseason.

Roddy White is every bit as good as advertised.

What are you convinced of after week 4?

I DO NOT believe Romeo Crennel won't be on the hotseat, and definitely not because his team is underacheiving.
This new "NOT" format makes my head hurt. I really like these weekly threads, but me no likey the triple negatives! Or in the new format:I do NOT believe this new "NOT" format is NOT hard to understand.

Yeah, it was painful to write the Crennel line. I hope he doesn't get fired. But I worry the management will grow short tempered with him. The New format most likely is a one time thing. Thanks for the feedback friend.

I agree. I'd rephrase/reorder so that your first pitch isn't a screwball.

Sorry to have derailed this, but the NOT things really through me off.

Agree, Jennings is a beast. Lots of things pointed to last year not being a fluke.

I think you're saying LT is still a top 3 fantasy back. I'm still skeptical on this one. It's striking to me how much different/faster Sproles looks than he does. I see the Chargers forcing the ball to him, but he's not getting the six yards a pop anymore. I think the Chargers will continue to force it to him because at the end of the day he's the franchise, but I know I'd be nervous trotting him out there as my #1 RB every week because he's going to be so feast (forced TDs) or famine.

I dissagree with LT being a top 3 also! He looks pafetic for 3 and a half quarters. Then gets his cheap TD'S at end to save his fantasy day! For the sake of me I cannot see why they don;t play Sproles more! His YPC is x 3 what LT'S is! I don't think your ever see him in top 3 again even with all his cheap end of game garbage td's added in!

On Crennel it's coming soon! He actually is in same spot he was in this time last year and he righted the ship so he has less then even next year to get it back together!

I have inside information that he better play Quinn by week 7 or he's out the door unless they start winning and beating Cincy without Palmer doesn't qualify for a true win!

On Ortin I am not convinced just yet. Just like Big Ben last night it was a half of outstanding play and a half of terrible play. Just reverse the halfs with Big Ben! lol

Galloway isn;t finnished just yet. Your see. Maybe getting close but I bet you he has a few nice games left in tank!

Pretty good stuff up there! Will always nit pick you on a few I bet!

Glad to hear, and look forward to it.

Ok, after all the replies were against the "not" format, I've changed it back. Hope everyone enjoys
i just want to know one thing.. being that i haven't seen any falcons games this year and i acquired roddy white a couple weeks back...how good is he? is he comparable to anybody? etc...

I am convinced Al Davis is senile, and the Raiders will not be a playoff team until he is gone.

The Broncos are fun to watch.

Wade Phillips needs to call a LOT more running plays if he wants his team to get into the playoffs.

I feel sorry for the Bengals fans. Its going to be a long year, again.

I think I am sore today from watching all of the hitting in the PIT/BAL game last night. What a football game! If I was a betting man, I would bet against both of those teams winning next week. They have both got to be really beat up.

Roddy White is as good as advertised. And probably more so a good value in drafts this year then not.

His situation holds him back some but he is a Solid WR-2 even with a rookie QB.

Id much rather be owning him right now then Edwards and Chad in dynsatys for sure. Redraft a toss up for this year.

I think the top running backs are going to produce less than last year's top running backs (for sakes of argument, we'll quantify that as top 3).

:coffee: Roddy is nowhere near Braylon, now, last year or next year.

wade doesn't call the plays...and garrett is one of the best offensive minds in football (at least top 3)...sure he called a stinker this last week, but I am NOT convinced that this will be a recurring theme

I hope you're right. I've loved watching Owens for years and would love to see him win one.

Brandon Marshall will continue to put up at least a touchdown a game during the season

Matt Prater is the next Nick Folk, Neil Rackers

Brett Farve will play as long if not longer than Vinny Testerverde

The Bears have a passing game and they will win the division

Every time T.O complains, Romo listens

Rookie Running Back class is deepest in years

Benson still sucks

Rams coaching change, QB change won't make a big difference to season

Raiders will, they will be worse

This one confuses me. They have just started to rebuild with this years draft. Why would they need to begin again?

I agree with you. People want to fire Childress for bad play calling and replace him with Shottenheimer. I say careful what you wish for. IRCC, Marty Ball wasn't that great. If there is one reason that Childress should be fired it is his undying loyalty to Jackson. The other day he listed a number of QBs that came out of nowhere to end up as past and present stars. I think he was implying that Frerotte could be one of those guys. :goodposting: I wonder if even occured to him that his team should be looking for one of those uncut gems. Instead, he has zero QBs on the practice squad and a 3rd QB with questionable talent. He needs to admit that made a mistake and realize that neither Jackson and Frerotte are the future. What is wrong with signing a couple of QBs to the practice squad and see what develops? The only thing that is stopping him is his own arrogance.

Browns and their fans are finding out what it feels like to play tougher schedule and that last year was full of some flukey wins. The offense caught a lot of people off guard last year and won shootouts, not that offense is not clicking and they are stumbling.

Braylon Edwards might have been the most over hyped WR coming into this year.
