Rock, I have no clue what this means. Can I get a decipher up in here?
1) You can't go after the same guy for 7 years straight and not put him in prison - if the end goal is to win over voters at large. Because the entire Team Blue platform is 'Not Trump' The average American citizen is a low information voter, they don't know that the impeachments are not criminal trials. They don't understand the basic mechanics of law. They don't deep dive into any public policy. There's a saturation point with blame and rage against Trump. Also it looks tyrannical when the working class is struggling to put food on the table and they are force fed culture war agendas and more Orange/Man/Bad
2) As former Clinton strategist, Mark Penn, points out - You can't dogmatically oppose everything that the GOP supports just because they are Republicans. Because some of that is what the population at large supports. You can't dismiss the things you don't like as mere 'right wing talking points' when those issues are near and dear to rank and file Americans. A lot of the Biden Administration's failures come from being purely contrarian simply because Trump would have done it differently.
3) Too many with Team Blue and their supporters with the loudest voices act, behave, enable, attack and operate like open social and cultural terrorists. Parents don't want their kids taken to drag shows, not the majority of them. You can't tell the working class to eat the pain with inflation and that the real answer is to buy an EV that most Americans can't actually afford, if they can find one, to hope to charge them on a grid that doesn't really help actual climate change overall.
Pareto Principle - A small number of people often make the most disproportionate impact.
I am, at this point, the most outspoken Conservative in the PSF. Lots of people don't like my posts, don't like my analysis, don't like my politics, don't like my formatting, but I'm not an unreasonable person. I say things that will resonate with many every day people. I do so while under nearly constant attack.
The three most outspoken liberals are all radical leftists and low information voters. The more they source police, gas light, ad hominem attack, personal attack, logical fallacy bomb, sea lion and all the rest, the more they push more people into the Conservative viewpoint . It makes Trump look reasonable in comparison.
I've already started top level thread topics saying I don't want Trump to run in 2024 and I don't want him as POTUS again and our country might be very well better off if he went to prison with an actual legitimate legal pathway there. But all the failures of the Biden Administration and the failures of the core of Team Blue makes Trump look more and more desirable as a survival option. ( I.E. if we don't vote for him, we might all perish otherwise because these Democrats are incompetent and even more dangerous) Which is pretty sad. How do you get impeached twice, get a proxy for a third informal impeachment, be part of inciting J6, be so heavily outgunned in the 2016 election and still be the favorite contender to take POTUS 2024?
That's less about Trump's appeal and more about the contrast to the utter failures of the cabal trying to put him down and failing again and again.
If the Democratic Party was full of Katie Porters, Trump would never have sniffed 2016 POTUS. But they are not. Instead you get cast of caricatures that terrify the average voter. And if the Republican Party was full of Elise Stefaniks then Trump would not have made it so far for so long.
If you want to know what's wrong with Team Blue, spend some time looking at Katie Porter. She sounds reasonable and she sounds like she has concerns for actual working class people and she sounds like she's trying to find solutions. The further the "brand name " Democrats get from what makes Katie Porter appealing, the more many swing voters will just pick Donald Trump instead.
It can be frustrating in that I suspect more than a very large share of Americans in total want Trump, Biden and Harris all gone from professional politics period by 2024. And yet we might still get Trump Vs Biden 2.0 anyway with the only difference is a new VPOTUS candidate for the GOP and an impeachment for Biden. I can see how that is totally demoralizing to many.
