Thigpen's matchup getting easier (1 Viewer)

One bad throw and one bad decision has took the luster off his performance. 9/17, 146 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT.

Still a lot of football to be played. He needs to step up.

Nice 45-yard bomb to Bradley for six.

Made some mistakes, but he'll be all right. I see another TD for him. Problem in this game, unlike most others, has been the INTs.

did Thiggy get hurt? or did they just pull him out of the blowout?
Judging by this below i would say it was a preventive move...Tyler Thigpen-QB- Chiefs Nov. 23 - 5:59 pm et Tyler Thigpen completed 17-of-31 passes for 240 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions against the Bills in Week 12. He added 29 yards on three scrambles. The fantasy numbers are great, but Thigpen looked nothing like a future franchise quarterback. His accuracy was shoddy, he was burned twice by rookie corner Leodis McKelvin, and he lost a fumble untouched on a scramble. Thigpen remains a quality weekly option in the spread offense, at least for the rest of this season. :goodposting:

I saw that earlier, but it doesn't even talk about him getting pulled,

I'm here to eat my crow.

Not only did Thigpen prove me wrong, Cutler did more than his share and rubbed it in my face. And to pour salt in the wound, my opponent played Thigpen.

I hate fantasy football some mondays. This is one of them.

Thigpen's been a fantasy dynamo for 5 weeks now. Shame he had so many turnovers, it could have been a much more impressive performance.

All I know is Thigpen has made the oldest tight end still the best tight end in the league. Gonzo is having one hell of a season. He's leading all the TE's by a pretty huge margin in my league at the moment.

Don't play Thigpen in week 13 against Oakland. After Oakland he is full throttle the rest of the year. I have Brees and Thigpen. I will go Brees week 13 @ Tampa, Thigpen week 14 @ Denver, Thigpen week 15 vs San Diego, Brees week 16 @ Detroit.

Am I crazy? I don't like the match up for Brees in week 14 @ Atlanta and I don't like week 15 @ Chicago because im sure it will be freezing cold.

FYI, don't know if this will change things for you, but Brees is at home vs Atlanta in wk 14.

What is your definition of full throttle the rest of the year? Your Brees week 16 @ Detroit threw me.

I would start Ryan Leaf vs Detroit

while I like Thiggy, I don't know how anyone could bench Brees against anybody. Packers are pretty tough against the pass with Harris now healthy and he torched them.

I dropped Big Ben right before the the start of the game on thursday for Pierre....now Thigpen is the only QB on my roster. Needless to say...Im a believer.

I'm in the exact same boat with Thigpen and Brees. I'm on the fence about Week 15. I've clinched a bye in Week 14 so that will be my first playoff game. But that late in the season will be miserable in Chicago and will likely be a wind/snow game. Not exactly prime conditions for the passing attack. On the other hand, this is basically a rematch of the 2006 NFC Championship game which Chicago won but Brees did put up 354 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT. So I'm still on the fence.

I'm debating between Rodgers and Thigpen myself. Leaning towards Thigpen, but OAK's secondary is actually pretty decent.
