Things you dislike about The Next Generation (1 Viewer)

For a supposed Flagship of the fleet, Enterprise sure was far away from Earth most of the time.

She could only pick up feelings so she'd just feel lust 99% of the time she was around men or boys.

That virile and strapping Riker had to play second fiddle to crusty old Picard. Particularly in the beginning when Picard looked like a futuristic live action Mr. Burns from the Simpsons. Granted, Picard got a bit more swagger.....but by then Riker had developed one of the greatest beards in television history. There was more man machismo oozing thru Rikers beard than in ALL Picards combined (be it Locutus of Borg, Jean Luc, Shinzon or even that dopey ****, Dixon Hill)...and another thing.....Why the hell does a British dude have a French name? The bottom line is that the crew should have taken one look at Picard....then at Riker.....and then gave Riker the chair while relegating Picard to Wesley Crusher's tutor.

The Ferengi
Gotta love Roddenberry's stereotypical aliens. Ferengi = Jews, Vulcans = Asians, Klingons = Blacks, Romulans = Europeans
Klingons are Russians, at least they were in the '60s.I think the Romulans started out as proto-Europeans, but later came to represent communist China.

Cardassians are Nazis for sure.

Bajorans are generic refugee people (Palestinians?).

Surprised they never had an episode with him called "Q Ex Machina", because that's all he was.
That's kind of the point. They are literally the unexplained event that intervenes in unexplainable situations.
That's just weak writing. Take the Robin Hood one for example. It was like Patrick Stewart one day told the writers "I never got to play Robin Hood" and they wrote a Robin Hood episode for him and used Q as a way to fit it into their universe. And don't get me started on the one when he introduced them to the Borg.

Probably why they established them so early. So people could just be like "Oh that crazy Q."
