And the reason for the majority of the "community" threads is because people clique up and don't post many misc. topics.

Also, when they made the change to less topics on page 1, I think that contributed to less topics and less posters in newer topics.

Sticking to one topic in a topic seems, by definition, okay.  I think more threads would clutter it up.  For example, I'm okay with the soccer people sticking to one thread, so there isn't a new thread every time some breaking soccer news happens.
