Thoughts on Bockwoldt? (1 Viewer)

I am trying to figure out whether or not to grab this guy in a dynasty league. He is already being bid up. I was hoping to grab him cheap but my first bid was immediately upped. His stats in the pre-season have been decent. In 3 games he had 8tkl 4ast 1sck. If you double the numbers (assuming he played 1/2 the game on average) that gets you to pretty decent numbers for a #2 or #3 LB (at least in our scoring). Has anyone seem him though? Does he look like he is a good player or is he just there in the short term until Fincher takes over in the middle and they move watson to WLB.Thoughts

Bockwolt is active (moreso than i would have guessed) and is the favorable Weak/will backer position. Get him at the right price. Fincher has a broken wrist, he should be written off for hte first half of the season.

I don't see any way Watson starts over Bockwoldt. He has much better instincts than Watson, his motor is always running, and he seems to have a real nose for the ball (I know, I know, cliches, but best comparison I could come up with). For a late round draft choice, he played very well late last year. Came into camp with 20 more pounds of muscle this year, and Haslett loves him. Not sure how much you want to spend on him, but feel comfortable in grabbing him.

Saw him a lot here at BYU. Great motor and a nose for the ball. Smart and willing to work.

I saw him in parts of 2 preseason games. He got sagged off my wire just before I got out there. I'd go for picking him up.Steve

Watson is the starting MLB.

Speaking of Watson, I know he's a 3-down LB. Who is the other nickle LB?? Bockwoldt??
That would be my guess, but only because I can't see James Allen playing that role. He's more of a run stuffer. I guess the other possibility is that Sedrick Hodge goes in for Allen on passing downs.
