Totally agree! They need to install more short routes to soften the defenses and then Cutler will be free to chuck the ball with reckless abandon again.I don't think the bye could come sooner for Jay. They will probably do well against Wash this week. Then he will get a much needed week off to regroup and recoup. Hopefully during that week Martz will discover a few shorter routes to go with the madness that is his no blocking scheme. Its all or nothing and unless Cutler develops a quicker trigger, he's going to be pummeled. I'm hoping for a few good games so I can maybe move him for a more stable QB and another player.
NoAny chance the offensive line improves over the next few weeks?
That's what everyone was saying about the Seahawks last week.Jay Cutler is very bad man. Very bad.** Babu Bhatt referenceHe will torch the skins this week.
I think it does. The experiment that was Edwin Williams and Jamarcus Webb on the right side of the line failed. The original OL of LT-Williams, LG-Garza, C-Kreutz, RG-Louis, RT-OmiyaleCurrently starting LT-Omiyale, LG-Williams, C-Kreutz, RG-Williams, RT-WebbAnyone else see what they should do here?I think LT-Williams, C-Kreutz, RT-Omiyale. Then have all the others battle for playing time at LG and RG.NoAny chance the offensive line improves over the next few weeks?
He finished games against Clay Mathews and DeMarcus Ware....also put up numbers in those games.Resident A said:DO NOT start Cutler against teams with a strong pass rush. He can still be top-12 QB in games against run-of-the-mill teams. Start him against teams like Indy, Pitt, Jets, Giants- and he won't finish the game, let alone put up stats.
No it doesn't. He was knocked out of one game early and missed another.Cutler is the 28th ranked QB in my league scoring system, behind Cassel, Seneca Wallace and Ryan Fitzgerald. That says it all.
I think you made his point for him. He's pretty good...unless he has a bad game or gets knocked out of a game or misses a game entirely. And we've seen all of those things in the first six weeks of the season. Other than that, no worries. No it doesn't. He was knocked out of one game early and missed another.Cutler is the 28th ranked QB in my league scoring system, behind Cassel, Seneca Wallace and Ryan Fitzgerald. That says it all.
In mine he's tied for 14th per game with Chad Henne. If you take out his worst and his best games, he's right around Tom Brady, top 7ish.Cutler is the 28th ranked QB in my league scoring system, behind Cassel, Seneca Wallace and Ryan Fitzgerald. That says it all.
Dallas has given up the least amount of passing yards this year, yet it was Cutler's best game. Every team he's played against this year is in the top 13 in sacks (I'm sure that's just a coincidence), but overall he's done okay. Not great but okay.He finished games against Clay Mathews and DeMarcus Ware....also put up numbers in those games.Resident A said:DO NOT start Cutler against teams with a strong pass rush.
