Thoughts on Matt Forte going forward? (1 Viewer)

Is he a low end RB1? RB2? He went 22/107 against Jacksonville. I like the volume, but he is like Steven Jackson when it comes to finding the end zone. Thoughts?

He is a RB1. his strength is that he both runs and catches passes. He's no longer a top end RB1 due to the presence of Bush, but he will be solid.

Forte is a keeper for me for 3 years and I didn't draft him for TDs. It's a ppr league so to me he is a RB1 no doubt.Don't get me wrong, TDs would b a great bonus but that's what they are when it comes to Forte.

It would be nice to see him get some scoring chances. Bush hasn't been overly impressive in Forte's absence.

Also with the loss of Jeffrey, does Cutler look to Forte even more in the passing game?

I too think Forte will be a good RB going forward. Lovie loves him. He'll get good yardage, catch 3-4 balls a game, yet his TD production scares me in a TD heavy league. Solid top tier #2 RB I'd say. I own him, yet I don't think I can win with him in a TD heavy league. He ranks right in there with Ridley, R Bush, and McFadden I'd say. Which two would you rather have of the four in a TD heavy league?

I'd say I'd rather have Ridley and R Bush now. At the beginning of the year all signs would point to McFadden and Forte.

Your thoughts on Forte? Mine are 80-100 rushing yards, 3-4 catches and 35 receiving yards, and a .3-.4 TD per game.

I pretty much agree with this to a tee. 100 rushing yard, 4 catches, and 35 receiving yards and right there you have 17.5 in a ppr which is great even if Matt never finds the end zone. This is why I thought he was a good target in the late 1st/early 2nd in ppr.
