Through Week 13, the NFC has... (1 Viewer)

Yeah I have heard several times this year people saying that the AFC is so much stronger than the NFC, which I am guessing is the point that dickey moe is pointing to talking about the overall record of NFC teams right now.

I just don't see it that way though.

AFC teams may have a stronger group of young QBs right now than the NFC has and the QB position is the most important, but the QB is only one position.

Some of these top AFC QBs are not doing as good as people expected either.

The Bills were supposed to be one of the best teams in the league but they have struggled.

I think the top 3 teams in the NFC are San Fran, Philly and Dallas (sorry Detroit). I believe any of them would be favored in a Super Bowl if it was played today regardless of the opponent. NFC is top heavy but they are better. The AFC north could have tilted things but QB injuries destroyed that.

I might favor Miami over Dallas, maybe, possibly, I'd have to look at it a bit deeper, but at first blush I agree with you.

You’re right. I think Miami could beat both Dallas and Philly (I know Philly already beat them). That might be a pick ‘‘em at this point.

Tommy DeVito
Sam Howell
Josh Dobbs in Minnesota
Jordan Love
Tyson Bagent
Baker Mayfield
Desmond Ridder
Josh Dobbs in Arizona
Geno Smith...Imposter #1
Derek Carr...Imposter #2
Jordan Love has started what, 15 games or so? He's looked better as of late. Dobbs has shown some promise at times this year. But yeah, the others are meh or worse.

Yep, teams like the Bills and Bengals, thought to be serious Super Bowl contenders, have been disappointments, and even the Chiefs, despite their 8-4 record, are not wowing people at all this year.

Cheifs suck because of two things:
clearly Kelce is slowing down. Yeah he's still producing, but age has caught up with him,
clearly matt nagy is not up to the task as OC. Also, Spagnuolo's defense is slipping, I *think* offenses have figured out how to entrap and ensnare Chiefs lesser LB corps into making bad plays. Packers really, REALLY exploited this last night. even the commentators tirico and collinsworth hinted as much. this trend will continue, as offenses pick on the weak LB crew going forward.

That roughlng the passer call when the defender hit a scrambling Mahomes, when that cheeky SOB stayed inbounds and got drilled, was a bogus call - too bad he didn't get his bell rung. This '23 chiefs team resembles 2022 Bills who were rolling and then hit Cincy and it all fell apart. Chiefs are a mobile home in tornado alley at this time.the collapse is going to happen, it's just a matter of when. it's so painfully obvious the offense has no talent outside of Kelce. no-name Wrs and a hot head RB who just got ejected last night, soon to be heavily fined, possibly suspended. what a dope.

Another AFC team (Jacksonville) hit with a QB injury, though it shouldn't be season ending. Opening the door for Miami #1 seed, or for KC to squeeze out a couple more wins and nail home field if Miami falters. Can't wait to see what Mahomes and the Chiefs would look like in a true road playoff game

Wait, the Chiefs "suck," now?
When comparing to the other division leading teams (Miami, Baltimore, and even Jacksonville if Lawrence didnt get hurt) I think theyre 4th best team out of that group.

Collinsworth kept saying this is when mahomes does his magic on Sunday night and both drives Mahomes failed. Same thing happened on the Monday Night game vs Philly. Not saying its Mahomes fault but that offense is bottom barrel and now the defense looks really bad.

The Chiefs offense has definitely looked flat more often this season than I can ever remember with Mahomes at QB. It all just seems so much harder for them than it did in the past.
